I treated my mom here for her birthday. She loves Italian food, so I searched “best Italian near me,” and this was one of the few nearby places we hadn’t tried yet. I don’t know what we were waiting for — it was an excellent experience. Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. He was very attentive to my mom’s mushroom allergy and helped make alterations to her dishes so there wouldn’t be any issues. He brought us sparkling water and bread, then gave great drink recommendations. My mom had an Aperol spritz and I ordered the What-a-Peach. My cocktail was one of the best I’ve had — perfectly peachy without being candy-sweet. The Aperol spritz was nice as well, and both drinks were a good size. For an appetizer, we had the burrata. It came with two balls of burrata, a generous amount of prosciutto, and two large pieces of bruschetta. It was a good size for the two of us but would have easily worked for 3–4 people. For entrées, I had the tortiglioni salsiccia piccante, and my mom ordered the pappardelle with short rib (sans mushrooms), plus a side of broccoli rabe. All the dishes were generously portioned — we had a little pasta leftover and a lot of broccoli rabe. The sides are apparently family-sized. My pasta was amazing. You could tell it was freshly cooked, and they were generous with the sausage and added a big dollop of ricotta. The short rib pappardelle was very rich, and the short rib practically melted in your mouth. The broccoli rabe was cooked well, though I felt it could have used a bit more garlic. Even though we were very full from the heavy pasta dishes, we had to order dessert to celebrate. Unfortunately, they were out of their special dessert that day (an apple crostata), so we went with the crème brûlée. It was clearly fresh, with the sugar crack on top still warm. The top was perfectly done; however, the custard itself lacked a bit of flavor. Overall, everything was very good, and the pricing was fantastic for the quality of food and service. My mom said she felt this was one of the best Italian restaurants in our area.
A perfectly divine lunch for a beyond reasonable price! Delicious bread and oil to start. We chose from the price fixxe lunch menu and were impressed! Great portions and delicious food from soups and salads to the desserts!! Very friendly staff and comfy, cozy atmosphere!!
My husband and I had a great experience today at Nostrano. The atmosphere was lovely with all the festive decorations. Our server Chris. was very polite and informative. My husband and I both ordered off the prefix menu and enjoyed our meals. The presentation was lovely and the food was delicious. My espresso martini was great too. We will definitely be back. The portions were also satisfying.Thank you!
Delicious dinner as always! We love coming here. Sometimes it can take a few minutes longer to get your food than you would like, but its worth the wait. Vodka sauce is definitely the way to go.
Visited not too long ago while on vacation. Our meal was good and my girlfriend enjoyed her espresso martinis. The meatballs were different but are yummy and definitely worth trying! The garlic bread wasn’t anything special, but get a side of marinara sauce for dipping and you’re set. The penne aka vodka was nice and creamy. Unfortunately the cacio e pepe daily special was served cold and you could barely taste any pepper. The fried mozzerrla ball didn’t really fit in either. The staff was very friendly with handling this though and comped the entree. Besides the cacio e pepe, I would give this place another chance.
The new owners are crushing it. Same excellent food, same giant portions but now they have daily specials that switch every 2-3 days. I tried the stuffed shishito peppers and they did not disappoint. The new staff is super friendly and the place still has its charming vibe. I highly recommend you visit, and hit perfusion bar next door for a night cap when you’re done!
Food is amazing here. All the servers i asked about their favorite, and all of them said a dish, but with vodka sauce. So I just got the penne vodka with chicken. The best vodka sauce I've ever had.
A great Italian restaurant. We were there in the summer and were able to sit outside. The service was great as well as the food. We were not rushed as it should be. However, a word of warning: the seating is limited so make a reservation well in advance. MAKE A RESERVATION or you will be disappointed. We will return often when we can get in. Updated: our recent visit was even better. Great authentic food, great service and great fairly priced wines. We had a variety of dishes, all excellent. See our photos.
