Kappo Honda serves authentic Japanese cuisine with rich flavors. Some dishes were a bit salty, but overall well prepared and satisfying. The warm, inviting atmosphere makes it ideal for dinner with family or a gathering of friends.
I’ve been here once before, but apparently I didn’t know what I was ordering. Go with someone who knows the cuisine! I’m not entirely sure which skewers we got. But from what I can remember: the quail eggs were fire. The dumplings were tasty. The sashimi was like butter melting in my mouth. The oysters were exquisite. The sake soothed the palate. And I even enjoyed the okra, although I’m normally not a fan. I’ll be back and actually pay attention to what we order next time.
We love it. The food is really good. Cool atmosphere. Friendly service. Good sake. Ice cold beer. One of our favorites.
Small Japanese based restaurant, great selection of Japanese dishes, great customer service and the atmosphere was exactly like the movies, authentic. Very delicious and food items came out rather efficiently. Any alcoholic beverages to choose and indulge.
It's just a great place to eat. The menu is extremely diverse from the freshest raw sushi to their famous Japanese sliders. Most of the best parts of the menu are in the walls in the booths. You can truly find almost anything you want and often many things that you have never tried before. I would not describe this as a typical sushi restaurant, but more of an authentic Japanese eatery that includes a lot of wonderful sushi. So if you want sushi, it is great. If you want to experiment with other Japanese seafood, meats and vegetables then this is even better. They probably do California rolls, but if that is all you want, then this is waaaaay beyond that. If you have sushi haters in your party, there is plenty of non seafood to choose from. Vegetarians, yes there are excellent vegetable dishes.
I've visted this restaurant twice, the food is very diverse and delicious, the staff are enthusiastic. However, the waiting time for a table, especially for large groups, possibly due to it being the weekend and holiday
Awesome food and lovely atmosphere if you’re looking for a casual spot after work for comfort food and a few drinks. Highly recommend the beef tongue stew, it’s delectable. So good that I forgot to take a photo of it. Warabi mochi was very good too.
Fish is fresh and well prepared. Ama Ebi sushi and deep fried shrimp head were delicious. The quality is always top tier, you definitely get what you pay for.
