Megumi 21

Anytime we pass near Covington, LA, we really only think about one place we need to stop and get our sushi ON! Megumi always delivers and that matters for us because we are rarely in the area and able to visit. But we try and go at least 2-3 times a year. Love it!

Snow crab bowl was very good and my son enjoyed it alot. My daughter also enjoyed her Crunchy Roll and Snow Crab Roll but complained a little bit of the rolls being so big. We might request to cut thin smaller pieces for her next time. I like sour and spicy, so OCEAN Salad meet beyond expectation. We got Mandeville Roll, Rainbow Roll, Snow Crab Roll and Crunchy Roll. Mandeville Roll, Snow Crab Roll, and Crunchy Roll were big sized portions. My wife got Beef teriyaki dinner which includes fried rice or white rice and salad. The salad's dressing made with ginger and others and it was very good. We also got Cheese cake tempura which was very savory and vanilla ice cream was also not disappointed. We went there on Friday, it was very busy and also very noisy but we got all our orders under 15 minutes. It was so fast and we were very pleased. Everything is delicious and all the staffs are very friendly. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

This place has great food! The only downside is that the seating is very close quarters. If the seating is full, good luck trying to get in as the wait could take forever. The restaurant seats only maybe 65 -70 people max. The menu is Huge, there are so many rolls to choose from. You have to read each roll to see if it's something you like. However, the service and wait for the food is less than 10 minutes after you order. Again, this is a great restaurant, however, just very small. I do believe that if want a custom roll they will make it for you. Some rolls like the snow crab naruto is smaller portioned than other Japanese restaurants. In all its a good Japanese restaurant with great sushi!

We had a lovely meal at Megumi 21 Sushi Restaurant. The dishes we ordered—Tonkotsu Ramen, Tuna Tataki, and an Eel Bowl—were delicious and well-prepared. The Tonkotsu Ramen was excellent. The noodles had a good texture, and the broth was rich, creamy, and full of porky flavor. The chashu (pork belly) was generously sized, adding a hearty element to the dish. The Tuna Tataki was a standout, with its freshness and high-quality cut of tuna. The ponzu sauce paired beautifully with the dish, offering a delightful aroma and tangy taste. The Eel Bowl was another highlight, especially the rice, which had a perfect balance of sweetness, saltiness, and a slight tartness from the vinegar. While the eel was delicious and thickly cut, the portion size felt a bit small. Overall, the flavors and quality of the food were impressive. A bit more generous portions on some dishes would make it perfect. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a satisfying Japanese dining experience!

I went with a group for dinner (6:30ish), and it was busy, but no wait. My husband and I ordered a Mandeville Roll, a Boston Handroll, and a Crunchy Roll. All of the rolls were great, and we paid less than $30. I would definitely come back here again! My only problem is that they brought a roll that wasn't ours to the table, but when they took it back, they gave it straight to the correct person. I'm pretty sure that's like a big health code violation, and they are supposed to remake the roll since other people could have tampered with it (or at the very least breathed on it).

First time visit and got the tonkotsu ramen and chicken teriyaki for lunch. Fabulous! Service was prompt and the food was fresh. Lots of variety.

We have dinner today with my family, all food was amazing and the service spectacular. Congratulations if you guys keep it like that you'll will grow very fast. We ordered a lot of food and really each of all of them were really good. I just uploaded a few pictures of it
