Shogun

Considering the dearth of restaurant options in Brownfield, this is easily 5 stars. Friendly service, clean environment, and tasty food. It's the first Japanese restaurant I've been to with no chopsticks on the tables, and I wasn't given a knife to cut the fish either. Too much rice, not enough vegetables. So they'd get less than 5 stars in a more competitive market. But given the location, good food at a reasonable price with friendly service makes it easily 5 stars.

We've been stopping here everytime we pass through Brownfield. Amazing food, friendly and quick service. Amazing prices for Hibachi too, we were just amazed!! This is our stop everytime when traveling through.

Very good food and clean place. Our chef actually gave us sauce right away which many other Japanese restaurants won’t do and some never even give you sauce. But the food was good and so was the soup. The chef was talking with us the whole time he was making food which made things more enjoyable. One of the Top 3 Japanese restaurants is this one.

Shogun's is one of our favorite places to eat. We eat there fairly often and have never left disappointed or hungry! We always go for lunch, the price is incredibly reasonable for the amount of food you get!! We have a favorite chef, who is amazing, but all of them do a good job.

We were in from out of town for a funeral and what a treasure we found. Joe was our chef and he was so personable. Servings are generous and very tasty and reasonably priced.

We love their chicken teriyaki, steak and shrimp teriyaki, it’s very good and the rice with the yum yum sauce over the rice is Delicious and it only takes about 15 minutes to order take out. The price for take out is much cheaper then dining in but also they are not doing dine-in now. They have not bin doing dine-in ever since the pandemic started pretty much, but overall I would have to say this place is a great choice to get your food at.

Who knew? No idea how a resturaunt of this value ends up in the middle of nowhere...but it is. Great Food. Especially for the price. True Teppenyaki. Our chef was EXCEPTIONAL. Was told his name is Joe. He told us he actually trained and worked in Plano prior going to Shogun. We travel through about once a year. Will be stopping here again when we have the chance.
