Tokyo Japanese Restaurant Lufkin

The Tokyo Seafood & Steak House is a casual restaurant where you're seated around a hibachi grill as you come in to eat. We we're seated at a setting for 8 people that had 2 hibachi grills back to back. Once you place your dinner entree you're offered the onion soup and salad as seen in one of the pictures. I ordered the hibachi shrimp and my daughter ordered the hibachi steak. The dinner's come with shrimp appetizer, hibachi vegetable and hibachi rice. They both tasted amazing! Aside from the hibachi dinner entrees they offer appetizers, sushi, sashimi and several special rolls. As an appetizer we ordered the Edamami (a soy bean). The entertainment of watching the cook and eating with strangers make for a great dinner experience. I have been to other hibachi restaurants and the biggest difference is that the cooks presentations were much more entertaining flipping their spatula's and so much more interaction with the customers that you forget you're eating with strangers. This is the reason I gave 4 stars and not 5. The Tokyo Seafood & Steak House is located at 2950 S. John Reddit Dr in the Palm Center which is right off loop 287. If you're a local resident you'll know where this is however anyone just driving thru or even visiting would probably have to be directed to it's location (this is why I provided the address). Their Lunch hours are Mon-Sun 11:00-2:30. Dinner hours are Mon-Thurs 4:30-9:00, Fri 4:30-10:00, Sat 2:30-10:00, Sun 2:30-9:00.

The fried rice here is delicious,I really enjoy coming here. Sometimes I even order double rice.

The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal. I have never been to anything like that and I can't wait to go back. I had the best time. A thank you to the older gentleman that prepared our food. It was the best I have had.

Food was okay last time, but with each cook it varies. You are going to have to be specific if you want low sodium. I would have liked less soy sauce and less sauce on my vegetables. It is a little pricey and one plate of hibachi has a lot of food, so if you wanted to you could share it with someone in my opinion. The soup is always nice and great service. (:

I love the restaurant super friendly staff, I would recommend the show was also great everything was awesome but the 4 is bc they don't give enough food to get full and it's too expensive.

A long time family favorite. Staff is amazing and the food is top notch. Even when it’s busy they do a great job of getting groups in and out. Definitely recommend and will return.

Hitachi resteraunt, our cook was very entertaining. Only 4 stars because the waitress just walked away while taking our order. It was bizarre. The bathrooms need updating,we got soaked when we wanted our hands. Food was delicious!

Delicious sushi rolls. I arrived near closing time and was greeted by the manager offering Hibachi or sushi and I wanted sushi. The service was excellent and fast. I took the reccomendation of the manager and had a Texan roll, which was a great choice. I also had a spicy tuna roll and squid salad. There were folks having Hibachi, which looked equally as good. Very friendly management and staff. This place is definitely worth a visit if your craving sushi or hibachi while Lufkin.
