Hidden smoothie and acai bowl location in the Burlingame Farmer's Market. We ordered the island vibez acai bowl to share. The acai bowls are served in a flat container rather than a bowl, which surprised me but did mean the toppings were spread out more evenly. The fresh fruit tasted incredible, especially the mango! Thought the almond butter didn't really mesh with the other ingredients in the bowl and was a little heavy handed. Aside from one bench inside, there isn't any seating.
I absolutely love this place - the smoothies are delicious and the staff is so friendly. The açaí bowls are also incredible - they’re my favorite meal! I had the most wonderful exchange with Kaitlin when ordering today especially. She was so helpful with my order and just over the top kind... it absolutely made my entire month - I’ll truly never forget it!
We were looking for a light breakfast that felt healthier and stumbled upon Sweet Citrus inside the local Burlingame Market grocery store on Broadway. Fantastic curated selection of smoothies, juices, bowls, and Greek yogurts. We got the “Island Vibez” açaí bowl and “Sweet Tooth” smoothie and both are delicious. Island vibez is a burst of flavors that had me wondering “why can’t all açaí bowls be like this?” Fruits are fresh and sweet and the housemade coconut almond butter they put in it is otherworldly. The menu is huge, and if you don’t find what you’re looking for, you can always create your own smoothie so they make sure to have something for everybody. There are a few tables outside where you can sit and drink/eat your bowls if the weather is nice. Sweet Citrus stops making drinks at 6:30p everyday, presumably so that the staff can tidy the kitchen in the last 90 minutes before the grocery store closes. Nice, polite staff. Thanks so much. Looking forward to coming back and supporting this small business.
Hands down the “BEST” smoothie and juice spot in the Bay Area. Muse juice bar is a close second. It’s located inside a fresh fruits and small local grocery store. So the fruits are fresh and not frozen like many places. Price is reasonable unlike many of the franchises, where the owners have tag on additional fees. Online ordering is convenient but the fintech companies added roughly 10% of the original price.
