Legit hot off the grill with perfect char flavor. Their sides and pickles are also el primo. Juicy not dry, I recommend get the mix plate your first time. Even the charro beans..usually I don’t fuss with sides but these guys nailed it. Yuca, patacones…if your palette is fatigued from the typical taco fare common everywhere, head here for a refreshing change. Chicken was the best, then next I loved the sausage and steak. Shrimp though are the start of the show, eat them with shell on they really know how to do it well here. Probably my fav food in Knox currently.
Absolutely delicious! We got the parrillada platter, and it was more than enough for a family of four. Very quick service, nice small interior space, and a very friendly staff. This will become a regular spot for our family..
Amazing, I am so very glad that I tried this place. The only thing I didn't like about it was that is 4 and a half hours away from where I live. won't be able to go there as often as I would like. Please do yourself a favor and give your taste buds the adventure they deserve!
The picture is after we were done eating, sorry I couldn’t wait I was starving! I ordered take out around 12:30 on a Monday afternoon and it was empty and service was quick. There was plenty leftover as you can see and my 2 kids 7 and 6 years old also ate and enjoyed the meat flavors but they eat so little so more for me and my husband lol. I would say this could feed 2-4 people depending on how much they eat. Maybe 3 full grown adults or probably 2 adults and 2-3 small children. Plantains were AMAZING and the fried rice and charros beans were the 3 sides we chose with our parrillada meal. They weren’t stingy with the portions there was lots of carne asada, chicken and pork in our tray. Shrimp was very tasty my son liked it. I love that it comes with corn tortillas, roasted jalapeño chiles and roasted green onion bulb inside so I can make tacos. Warning the small red salsa is very spicy but also very delicious. The meal had bold flavors and was very satisfying. Everything was seasoned well and had moisture, no dry meats here. I love it! I plan to come back with my family. The meal cost around $54 with tax included and plus tip your looking around close to $60 but well worth it for a solid authentic family meal.
I snagged the beef empanadas and fried plantains for a small but filling lunch. Both were fresh, delicious, and packaged securely for my takeout order. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the space is very clean. Expect a line on weekends, but well worth the wait (or call in). I've had the charro beans and pork chops highly recommended, so they're on my list for the next visit. Support this fantastic small business.
The restaurant has delicious food, we tried fried rice and pork ribs with green sauce, the other plate had yuca frita and carne asada and a cilantro veggie rice. All of it was well cooked and savory, I highly recommend. The owner was also very kind and great costumer service. ( prices are affordable between 15-20 per plate with decent amount of food)
Five Cousins Pollo Al’s Brasa is an absolute gem in Knoxville! From the moment you walk in, the aroma alone lets you know you’re about to have something special. The rotisserie chicken is the star of the show—perfectly seasoned, incredibly juicy, and cooked to absolute perfection with that signature crispy skin and smoky flavor. The sides are just as impressive. Everything tastes fresh, homemade, and full of authentic flavor. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and you definitely leave satisfied. The sauces add the perfect finishing touch and take the meal to the next level. On top of the food, the service is warm and welcoming. You can tell there’s real pride behind what they serve, and it shows in every detail. Whether you’re grabbing a quick meal or feeding the whole family, this place delivers every single time. If you’re in Knoxville and love bold, authentic flavors, Five Cousins Pollo Al’s Brasa is a must-visit. Easily one of the best meals in town—highly recommend!
We were passing through Knoxville and this great little restaurant was very close to our hotel. It has a very high googke score and we were intrigued by the Latin American menu and unusual, (to us) dishes. First let me say the staff are very hospitable abd helpful in the food selections. We chose the Half Grill or Media Parrillada. Excellent choice if you want to try out the variety of foods in the store. From Char grilled Chicken, to steak, pork, sausage and shrimp as the main parts to the tortillas, onions, pepper and salsas of 4 varieties, it was all fabulous. For sides we chose plantains, yucca and black beans. The portion is just right for 2 hungry people. Even a little too much for us to finish. The sides are asgood as the mains and we were very happy with v Both meal and service. My thanks to everyone there.
