We stopped at Van Horn for lunch on our way to Big Bend National Park and we decided to try this place. We ordered Bean and Cheese burrito. They serve complimentary Chips and salsa as well. Both the burrito and chips/salsa were delicious. On our way back to El Paso from big bend we again stopped here . This place is close to I-5 and would highly recommend if you drive through this area. This Cafe does have drive-thru as well.
Such good food!! I’m glad I was able to stop here on my way to California. The server and staff were so kind! The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. Some family members met me here while I was traveling. We all were so happy that we were able to patronize this restaurant. I look forward to coming back here again!
My friend and I came in to eat after a full day of hiking in Guadalupe Mountains National Park. This cafe did not disappoint. We were immediately greeted by the staff with a warm welcome. They were friendly and provided quick, fantastic service. They anticipated our needs every step along the way. The food was absolutely amazing! I ordered the beef enchiladas which were full of flavor and hot! I would highly recommend the Broadway Cafe.
Absolutely amazing food! The portions were perfect — enough to satisfy without feeling overdone. Everything tasted authentic and freshly prepared. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, making it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a true taste of authenticity!
I ordered the tampiqueña ribeye steak. It came with beans, rice, and two red cheese enchiladas. It was a good sized portioned plate and was delicious! The service was excellent, Cynthia was very attentive and nice. 11/12/2025 Update: I ordered the chicken fajitas and a side order of green chicken enchiladas. Both were a good potion size and very delicious. The green chile sauce on the enchiladas was amazing. They served the food quickly and were very attentive
A low-key spot for Mexican food, with great (spicy) salsa. Their green chile sauce is the best, so be sure to order something with it (their chicken enchiladas are popular, but their burritos are good too and you can order it smothered in the green chile sauce). I got the chicken fajitas, which were yummy and well seasoned. Don't be afraid of the note on the menu that says they come with 1 tortilla, mine came with 4. Very reasonable prices. The tortilla chips are also fresh and delicious.
We went in and no one welcomed us other than some customers that were eating there. I had a brisket taco plate that came with three soft tacos that had lettuce, cheese, brisket and a side of rice, beans, avocado, and lettuce. The brisket was delicious. Husband had asado plate that came with rice, beans, and beef that was spicy. He said the flavor was ok… one child had a kids hard taco plate that had ground beef and cheese. It had a side of rice and beans. It was good. The other child had the chicken taco plate that came with lettuce, a little cheese, a side of beans and rice. The chicken flavor was not the best. Their rice is very delicious like homemade. They do charge a credit card fee based on your bill. Overall not bad. Their restroom is next door at the laundry mat which was very clean. Customer service we give it a three because they were not very welcoming when we got there and they could be a little friendlier. Wait time for the food was not long. Overall not too bad.
We stumbled across this place while looking for a quick bite to eat before checking into our hotel for the night. I googled and it had good reviews and thanks to the pictures online, we were able to view the menu ahead of time. The staff was super kind. The inside was small but homey. Not over crowded, quiet ambience. I ordered the cheese enchiladas with rice/beans, with the green sauce! 10/10 I also got the chips and their hot salsa which was delicious. My husband ordered the Buffalo Chicken sandwich with chips and he said it was delicious. We ordered the chicken tenders and fries for my daughter and she was a happy camper. For an appetizer we got the mozzarella sticks and they tasted freshly made, not just frozen ones cooked up. If you're passing through Van Horn and need a quick bite to eat, I highly recommend this place. I know we will be going again the next time we are in town.
