Menudos Norteños

Menudos Norteños specializes in menudo, and it’s pretty damn good — the kind of good that makes you question your life choices if you’ve never had it before. The place itself is what realtors would call “unassuming,” and what the rest of us would call a hole in the wall. The tables wobble, the lighting’s too honest, and the smell alone could cure a hangover — or cause one, depending on your upbringing. Almost everyone inside is Latino. The few white folks who stumble in are usually looking for “authentic tacos,” and you can see the moment they realize they’ve made a terrible mistake. Some try to be polite about it, whispering things like, “It’s… interesting,” before vanishing forever. But if you know what you’re tasting — if you grew up with someone’s aunt insisting that real menudo fixes everything but death — then you understand. This isn’t just soup. It’s a cultural password. You either get it… or you go back to brunch.

Food was really good fast fresh I recommend this place in Wichita. Not big not fancy but homemade meals here.

THE BEST GORDITAS EVER. We ordered one of each. They were all so good but my favorites hands down are the chicharrón and barbacoa. The service was great & I can’t say enough good things. If yall have the time, go check them out!

We enjoyed the thoughtful menu and fresh ingredients used in every dish. The presentation was elegant but not overly complicated. The staff were friendly and professional. The room had a warm and inviting feel. We would return without hesitation.

Place is a hole in the wall type of atmosphere. Feels like only the locals come here. Second time here and service has been good both times. You have a seat and the servers will make their way to you. I feel like it’s a place you can’t be in any hurry if you’re dining in. Meat was good in gorditas, burrito, and tacos. You cannot go wrong with any tacos you select. Menudo is really good. One of the best in town. The gorditas are made there so they have that fresh taste. No fountain drinks but plenty of options of all drinks. Parking can get tight if they are busy. Off Broadway so easy access to the place. Give them a try! Don’t be afraid to ask for more onions or sauces! Also the red bottled sauce is really hot. Yellow is mild. I definitely recommend the tacos.
