This was my first time going to Taco Loco, but it definitely was not my last. I enjoyed their variety of salsas on the salsa bar. Their queso was great, and their birria tacos were amazing. I loved the atmosphere, and their service was fantastic. I highly recommend
Stopped in to try this local restaurant and we were not disappointed. We started with the white queso dip and tried the salsa bar. The ones that say hot are definitely hot but all the salsas were pretty tasty Next we had the carne asada chimi and asada and barbacoa empenadas. Really. All in all very tasty and flavorful food. Glad we stopped.
On a quick lunch break, the word “Taco” on the storefront caught my eye. The simplicity of the name intrigued me, so I decided to give it a try. Having visited Cozumel, Mexico several times a year, I know my way around a proper street taco—especially my favorite, Pastor. I went for the Taco Tuesday special: mini street tacos for just $1.25 each. I ordered one Pastor, one Carnitas, and one Ground Beef—each topped with the classic cilantro and onions, exactly as authentic tacos should be. The flavor was spot-on and did not disappoint. They were small—two bites each—but satisfying for the price. I could have easily ordered more, but decided to show some restraint. The interior transported me straight to Mexico: vibrant colors, a welcoming staff, and handwritten menus full of tempting options. I’ll definitely be returning to explore more of the menu.
Delicious food. Wide variety of choices on the menu. You can tell their ingredients are fresh. The salsa bar is an awesome addition as well! We have eaten in-restaurant as well as ordered delivery and the quality is consistent!
We visited because the reviews were good. The food was great, I am vegan and the restaurant catered to my needs. I would suggest a makeover on the building, but that is honestly the decorator in me talking. Excellent service.
Fantastic guacamole. Authentic street tacos. A wide variety of protein options for the tacos and sopes. The horchata is great and a free refill. Fast and friendly service that keeps you wanting to come back. Plus the homemade hot sauces are full of flavor and add the perfect touch to the simplicity of their delicious tacos! Update 18 months later: The lengua and tinga are very delicious, well prepared and full of flavor. The homemade sauces are even more packed with flavor, properly good! December 2022: The homemade tortilla doesn’t disappoint. The barbacoa is really good, such great flavor and texture. They are consistent and kind. Good tacos!
Taco Loco is consistent and always delicious! We drive almost an hour to eat here. It’s authentic Mexican food with a lot of different options. I’ve never had anything bad here. Their salsa bar is the best around. Their food always tastes very fresh…it’s not really something I can describe, you just have to go try it for yourself. I love getting the chicharrones, and I’m so glad that they have those as an option. My favorite thing here is the burrito with the avacado and rice, and my partner’s favorite is the street tacos, pictured below. I also love the Flautas Ahogadas. The food isn’t rich or heavy and I never leave feeling stuffed, which is great. I’ll always recommend Taco Loco for authentic Mexican fare!
