This is a fun place where everyone is welcoming and pleasant. They make you feel like you're wanted and, more, that they want you to come back. When you walk in, you pass a glassed-in grill kitchen where you can see and talk to some of the cooks. The food doesn't let you down either. The prices, however, are 30% higher than two of my favorites restaurants - 170 p for my breakfast as compared to 110 p - which will limit how much we go there. That said, their flour tortillas are the very best I've had. The coffee is good, too, though no decaf offered (common in Queretaro). I had eggs scrambled with and covered in black beans, called Tirados, which aren't on other menus I know of here. My husband had Divorciados, his test for a good restaurant. Both were excellent. We walked past Zandunga by a few blocks because there is no sign for some reason. Try it. You'll like it. Ask to sit in the covered patio area where there is plenty of light.
I have been here a couple of times before, but I was pleasantly surprised by how innovative their dishes have become. The flavors were also outstanding. I highly recommend it, and I can't wait to come back.
This was my first time to try tlayuda and it was tasty and filling. The energizante naranjadas were delicious - we had 2!
The best Oaxaca food restaurant in Queretaro downtown. Nice place, excellent service and good prices
Awesome place!!!!.... super tasty meals at great price... all Oaxaca cuisine... try the tamal with mole or a traditional chocolate of the brand mayordomo is one of the best in Mexico... also the service is very good and the waitresses are always there if you need something... don't be afraid to ask for a suggestion or if you need to know something about the plates they have... by the way I like very much the eggs "Tirados" I recommended very much too....
Great food Oaxaca style Grasshopper Quesadillas! reasonable prices! Comida de dia. ( blue plate special about $5 dollars US 65 pesos) yummy! In centro Historico. Chicken Mole is super yummy! I'm hooked and I live here!
Busy but worth it. Great prices for the amount of food. Try the "chapulines" (crickets) they are good. Kids friendly (but no kids zone)
Mole negro was very good, sweet and mildly spicy. Efficient wait staff and nice old interior with high ceilings.
