The piazza and appetizers were delicious. Not a huge fan of their bruschetta, but the knots and fried cheese were amazing. I got the white pizza. And YUM!! The ricotta was a great added touch. Would definitely try again. Parking can be challenging though.

We were in the area for a bachelorette trip and wanted a quick bite after driving to town. Gustavo’s was right there and we decided to hit it. Dianna was so nice and made sure our order was good and that we were okay waiting, even offered us water, and her henchman Brady/Bradley showed up at the end as we were leaving and told us to add him to my review. He was cool I guess. Jk the vibes were so good and we bumped into the owner and he was super chill and bubbly in a manly way. We got the garlic knots and two large pizzas and they were so good. The pizzas were delicious and definitely fed 7 women. 10/10 recommend this pizza place. I’m sorry we don’t have photos, we ate everything too fast. The mints in the bowl are also really good, they’re the soft kind.

UPDATE - Feb. 2026: Another great meal at Gustavo's Scratch Kitchen Pizzeria! First sunny/warmish day after two weekends of snow/ice in North Georgia. Had an AMAZING Caprese Salad Sandwich. There was a Balsamic Glaze inside the sandwich, which went great with the BUFFALO Mozzarella, Tomato and Bacon that was SO SAVORY! The foccacia bun was moist, with herbs and olive oil baked in it. It came with a side of their delightful Pasta Salad. GREAT JOB! Many thanks to Chef Rene and the helpful crew there. ________________________ Fall 2025: AMAZING! Chef Rene has a great love of food and puts his heart into the design and execution of the menu. STOP BY AND YOU WILL LOVE THIS FOOD! I had some free time on the Sunday of Dahlonega's Gold Rush Festival, so I wandered around looking for dinner. Most of the Festival Food Booths seemed expensive for the food offered ($20+) and many restaurants had Festival Menus with similarly priced menus. I walked into Gustavo's Pizzeria (name on building) and had no special expectations. It looked like an average pizzeria with other Italian options. The Italian Sausage sandwich with Peppers and Onions appealed to me. It was priced $15 and came with Chips or a Pasta Salad. Before my food arrived, my phone rang and I had to leave quickly for an urgent task. This Sit Down order was changed to a Take Away order and I left. 2 hours later, I was home and finally ate the dinner without reheating it. THIS MEAL WAS PHENOMENAL! Mind you, the sandwich was cold and had sat in my car for 2 hours. The quality of the Italian Sausage was excellent. (I'm originally from Chicago and am no stranger to exceptional Italian Sauage.) The Pasta Salad was very tangy. It had a strong flavor of olives and other spices to it. This meal was such an unexpected treat! The next weekend, I returned to Dahlonega and brought my 85 year old father with to try this same menu item hot. The meal did not disappoint and I spoke in person with the Head Chef Rene. This is a man whose love and care for food is apparent by how he talks about the menu. Chef Rene said he is looking for a smaller bread to serve the Sausage on, so that the Sausage/Bread balance is proportional. He also is changing the menu to add more traditional Italian items to the menu. I look forward to my next visit to Guatavo's so that I can explore each item on the Menu. Mozzarella Logs (not Sticks) jumped out at me, as does the French Dip Sandwich. I haven't even had a chance to try the Pizza yet! My Sister-In-Law opened a stall at a nearby Antique Mall, so I will have many opportunities to work my way through their menu. DON'T MISS THIS LOCAL GEM OF A RESTAURANT! It's right across from the Gold Museum/Historic Lumpkin County Courthouse at the center of town. Boom...YUMMY!

Overall good experience, details below- Food- Tried Garlic Bread, vegetarian Stromboli, vegetarian pizza and everything was tasty, decent portion size and bread and pizza base felt freshly baked!!! Service- We waited 1.5 hours for the table after booking it at 5pm( it opens at 5pm in the evening), but it’s located in middle of public square so we explored nearby shops. Atmosphere- Comfortable, nice

If I could rate this any higher I would! My husband and I stopped in today for lunch and had a wonderful time being served by our waitress, Lacie. Exceptional service, very attentive and funny to boot! We highly recommend the Mozzarella Logs and the Kitchen Sink pizza (very funny name as well haha). We will definitely be back when we’re back in town!

What a find! We spent a few hours here on a lazy Tuesday afternoon. The pizza superb and the spicy caesar salad … OMG. You can add ingredients to the pizza slices, which was a nice touch. Full bar and long list of specialty cocktails. Heys was super helpful at the bar. GREAT customer service

Aleksa was our server and he was excellent!! He checked on us each time he passed our table with just something short, NOT at all intrusive. The first time was to make sure the food was what we expected and to our liking. By the way, my BLT was unlike any I have ever had and was VERY delicious. I also got the homemade chips which I’ve never had. Because they were sooo good, I will never be able to eat normal chips again and think yum. I now have a new favorite place to eat in Dahlonega.

We ordered Gustavo’s Pizza in Dahlonega through DoorDash and everything was soooo good! We tried the mushroom calzone and the ham pizza, and both were delicious. The calzone was perfectly baked with amazing flavor, and the thin crust pizza had the right balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings. Very toast, very delicious! Definitely ordering again!
