Was passing by on Sunday night and decided to stop. Service was great and food was even better. The try to kill you the portion size. I ended up getting a take out box and will have the left overs for lunch. If I’m back in the area I will most certainly be coming back. It’s even more important to support locally owned establishments with so many different restrictions in pace.
Food and service were good. We had 4 different burgers between us and they were all good. I loved the steak fries. Best I ever had. The servers were attentive and very friendly. You should bring a sweater or jacket because the vent for the air conditioner is low and blows on you. It is very cold because they need to keep it on so the kitchen and back part of building doesn't get hot. The tables were clean but I was disappointed that the napkin holder had a layer of dust on the top and the salt shaker had dirty stains on it. I had actually wiped the top of napkin holder before I took picture and still looked nasty. Needs cleaner.
This place was amazing! Hidden gem near Indiana Beach. They have a fantastic appetizer sampler, with fried pickle spears, cheese curds, jalapeno poppers, onion rings, garlic bread sticks, and a couple other things I can't remember. Everything in the sampler was great, burgers were also really good. Bonus is the place wasn't very busy for lunch, went there 2 days in a row, really worth it. They were training new staff, service was a little slow, but I wasn't in much of a hurry anyway. Staff was very accommodating, really nice folks.
The food and service were spectacular. They have a decently large selection of beers on tap, but the liquor selection is a bit limited, and the atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired... Overall: A nice family- friendly place, to grab a burger, but make sure to bring your smartphone, if you're planning on hanging out...
This is one of our summer weekend must eats. The Rugiw Bowl is amazing. Great Cheese Sticks too. If you are a Tenderloin person, try it here
We came here to have lunch & ended up ordering appetizers. Everything was delicious! Great portions sizes & very friendly staff. I was impressed with the decor & definitely felt at home. Very casual & laid back environment. I definitely recommend gathering the family or your close friends & coming over. I was really impressed & look forward to coming back.
Throughly enjoyed our stop at Rugies. Sports bar with really excellent food. We split the pork tenderloin and it was fantastic. Juicy and tender pork with crispy edges, served with all of the fixins-- red onion, tomato, lettuce. Steak fries were good and HOT! All of the food was served quickly and so hot! We also ordered a pizza and it did not disappoint. The crust was chewy and the toppings were very generous-- our pizza was overflowing with pepperoni and banana peppers and tons of perfectly melted cheese. Friendly staff and great, local, beer selections (normally 17 taps). Bathrooms were retro, I swear I was at the local skating rink circa 1983, but the water was HOT . Small arcade in the back of the restaurant and plenty of parking (we were in our 25' RV). Would not hesitate to recommend Rugie's, and will def stop by the next time we're passing through. Excellent!
I actually didn't go in. I was using the ice machine that now sets in the parking lot. I actually have had to obtain lots of ice over the last couple of weeks due to my husbands knee replacement surgery and ice is crucial for healing. I like that I don't have to go in anywhere, I just pull up and buy my ice there! 10#s for $2 and 20#s for $4, you can also get water, BYOB, 1 gallon for 50¢ and 5 gallons for $1(I believe). The machine accepts cards paper money and COINS from 5¢ to 25¢!
