Update in January 2026 Service is a 10/10!!! Speedy, friendly, perfect! Wings and cheesesteaks continue to be incredible, but you gotta try the burgers I like mine extra rare and it was cooked perfectly! Highly recommend the Slate Burger For perspective I have been a regular here for years, did takeout and delivery during 2020 and now we’re back in person. Last night we came in and was met with salty vibes and apathy from our server, felt like we were inconveniencing her. Rushed to order and our food came out quickly. My spouse’s wings were perfect as always. My fish and chips was another story. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than ever before! Fish, curtesy of the Gorton’s Fisherman, overcooked, tasteless, dry. Chips, used to be battered crispy and delicious, tonight, obviously from frozen, soggy and no flavor, not even a spec of salt to be found. But here is what takes me over the top. At the end of our meal when my spouse had finished his complete meal and mine was untouched we sat with empty pints and 1 finished meal for at least 30 minutes (plenty of time for both of us to order drinks, dessert, another meal! I left hungry!) and it was cleared with no questions. THAT’s UNACCEPTABLE. We plan to go back but please, management, this type of service will drive away customers and that dish shouldn’t have been on the menu. Will update

Noticed there was a complaint regarding service and the food at the slate Pub and a berating of the staff. Also a problem with wanting a substution for a side dish. I have been going to the slate for many years and never witnessed amy such actions or poor food quality. The atmosphere is upbeat and fun. Maybe the person who complained was having a bad day. Inhave brought many friends in and we always had a good time. Highly reccommend the Slate pub

Great local place with great food and bar. They always have specials and homemade soup. Love their wings.

The Wings! If this review had a title, it would be, "The Wings". The cheesesteaks are good, the steak special is lovely albeit it 4 oz smaller than a steak lover might like, but... the wings... are extraordinary. Crispy and crunchy, unbreaded, and joy inducing. Cannot recommend them enough. My daughter also loves their hot spinach artichoke dip. Its her favorite.

I had a California burger with fries. The burger was very big and delicious. The fries had good seasoning on them and were very crispy. My partner had a chicken club wrap with Cole slaw, he said they were both very good. We can't wait to go back and try many other things off the menu. I got a slice of apple peach cobbler to go, very good!
