Kinton Ramen at UBC is such a cozy and convenient spot for students, staff, and visitors. The vibe is warm and welcoming with a nice view of the campus and a uniquely designed interior. Even during the lunch rush, the crowd wasn’t bad and their iPad wait-list system makes everything run smoothly. I ordered the combo special, which is affordable and perfect for a quick campus meal. The ramen was delicious—especially great on a cold day—and the gyoza (veggie or pork options) was tasty. Sitting at the counter is fun too since you can watch the food being prepared right in front of you. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the overall service is great. Bonus points for the clean bathroom that even had mouthwash and toothpicks available! Overall, a great dining experience—excellent food, fair prices, and great customer service. Highly recommend!
Interesting that they serve different flavors in different bowls. They had a discount for lunch. Pictured: chicken original? veggie miso? and pork shoyu?
Delicious food to enjoy but has small portions. The staffs there are nice and considerate. Little bit crowded inside. We ordered spicy beef garlic (thick / thin noodles), original karaage and veggie gyoza Recommend veggie gyoza!
Nice place to stop by for a quick lunch! Loved the more authentic approach to the broth and ramen noodles, and the food was delicious overall. Definitely will be back for a second visit!
Had a quick lunch here and was really pleased with the food and service. Prefer the “fat” ramen than the thin one and the burnt Shoyu ramen was really scrumptious. The service here was excellent too with attentive waiters checking if everything is okay with you, if the soup was too spicy for you and offering to give you another bowl of soup on the side if you can’t take the spice, etc... Will highly recommend the Kinton Ramen!
Popular Japanese ramen shop located on University Boulevard at the heart of UBC, easy access for students, staff and faculty to dine and enjoy a good bowl of hot soup noodles. My favourite go - to from this place is Pork Miso Ramen and Yuzu Chill Ramen yummm! During the summer time, they have special menu and offer food options like cold noodles, refreshing lemonade and appetizers for summer! I enjoy their dessert as well!
