Good portion size and decent taste. I have it a 4 stars only because the tofu add on to my ramen had a weird taste like it’s spoiled or not fresh… I ordered the arashi signature ramen, and it’s VERY spicy, the broth especially. The service was great and attentive despite being so busy. There’s quite a bit of a wait time since it’s fully packed.
Best Japanese Ramen on My Journey I traveled all the way from Winnipeg to Vancouver, and this is hands down the best Japanese ramen I’ve had along the way. The broth is unbelievably rich — there’s simply nothing to complain about. The meat is cooked perfectly, with zero gaminess, just pure flavor. The noodles are springy, chewy, and full of life. The service? Flawless. And in a tourist hotspot like Banff, the prices are surprisingly affordable — honest food, honest value. The place is small, but absolutely worth coming back to again and again. Please, please open a chain someday. I already miss your flavors so much — Artemis
Very good ramen. The portions are a bit on the small size if you are very hungry, but the price is also small. Great option in Banff if you are craving something asian. It is a tucked upstairs in a gallery. A bit hard to find, but worth it. The plum wine was a nice surprise: very sweet and refreshing. We saw a large queue after we left, so be prepared to wait at the most popular times.
This is a go to spot for something unique once you are tired of pub food, or paying $$$$ for fine cuisine. The service is quick, and ramen broth was quite tasty. Their regular ramen choices don’t disappoint, however the ‘devil’ ramen was a bit gimmicky and too oily to be enjoyed. As well the appetizers were a bit lacklustre for the value. Definitely worth a visit if you are craving some tonkotsu ramen!
Food was excellent got the Arashi ramen! Atmosphere was great! Felt like a hidden gem and authentic Japanese place. We got the Arashi Ramen and Edamame. The meat in the ramen was but gamey but the broth and noodles were really really good! Edamame was spicy just how I like it :)
Went there around dinner and had to wait for 30 min for a table. The ramen should be authentic Japanese, but noodles are a bit hard. Love the sesame soup base for black ramen.
Came here around 12:15 on a Saturday and waited about 30 minutes for a table of 6.. they open at 11:30am I recommend coming as soon as they open if you don’t want to wait more than 30-45 minutes for a table - I was extremely hung over & got the spicy tonkotsu ramen .. I like spicy food but this was a bit too spicy, sweated out the alcohol though. They add ginger to their ramen, if they don’t like ginger ask them to remove it.. 7.8/10 … 8.2 without the ginger
