I stopped at Backwoods bolivar while passing through on my way back to Kentucky, and I’m so glad I did! The food was amazing — I got the Bang Bang Chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavor had the perfect balance of spice and sweetness, and everything tasted super fresh. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the whole place had that cozy, down-home feel that makes you want to come back. Definitely worth the stop — I’ll be eating here again next time I’m in the area!
Breakfast was great. Tenderloin was dry.. Steak night ribeyes...eh. They were extremely fatty. 16 oz ribeye for $32.99 and 6-8 oz was fat. Flavor was good. Fat was overwhelming. My husband didn't get one of his sides at all and his food came out last, extremely slow/after all ours. We ordered the same thing. Restaurant was out of something a friend wanted from the menu. Service is slow all the way around.
We drove 40 minutes to get there. Fast and friendly and polite service & the food and its presentation was very good. Looking forward to go back there. I was surprised they had hot tea available. 4.5 out of 5 stars!
It was amazing! I got the western omelette with toast , hash browns and sweet tea..food was incredible, service is fantastic and now you can earn points with the clover app when you check out..I definitely recommend
after years of research hands down the best cheeseburger and onion rings in Hardeman co. , and a order of a western omelet and loaded hash browns is enough for 2 !!! pricing is very reasonable with very friendly service. and now serving lunch and dinner specials daily , come on in and enjoy !!!
For a country restaurant, the food was very good. The waitress was friendly but for how busy they were, was not very attentive.. I will definitely eat here again.
Absolutely the best experience. Bbq is wonderful, egg rolls are divine. Chicken is spicy and delicious. Onion rings are out of this world! Wonderfully smooth iced tea. If I could give more than 5 I would. Waitress was wonderful and knowledgeable about the menu. I recommend everyone try this place!
Kids loved the real milkshakes. Stuffed baked potatoes were loaded with meat. Thursday rib dinner was a nice combo of sides and good flavors at a good local price. Fried pickles were great too.
