Visited for the first time last week and had a great experience! I ordered the country fried steak with cole slaw, apples, Texas toast, and sweet tea and enjoyed it. They have a very country, down-home environment and great service. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Kentucky! Atmosphere - 5/5 Service - friendly, engaged in conversation. 5/5 Menu/selection - great variety. 5/5 Prices - fantastic value for the money. Decently cheap prices in general. 5/5 Food - 5/5
The Buggy Shed is an excellent place to dine. It's not a chain resonant. It's downhome restaurant with home cooked food that is delicious, well prepared and a pleasure to eat. They have a great and varied menu. Friday is home grown catfish which is delicious. Mt favorite dish is the Beef Manhattan, or as many call it, a hot beef sandwich. The beef is very tender and tasty. They have two dining rooms which allows for plenty of seating. It's a great place to eat and I highly recommend it if you're looking for good home cooked food, reasonably priced, and served in a comfortable and friend atmosphere.
It's Clean and smells like the Sunday after church kitchen at grandma's house, you know the smell. The food smells hit ya when ya open the door and then next thing ya know your eating some really good food and getting treated like family that's been missed.
Went to eat here around 7:30 pm after a long day at work. The server was great and the cook was amazing. Very friendly staff payed attention to both myself and my son. Chatted like we knew each other and was overall a great place. The food was amazing and the place was very clean. It shows these people work hard.
Just a good old feel good comfort food diner. It seemed that everybody knew everybody and everybody called you friend. My husband's burger and fries were yummy. The ketchup tasted homemade, that's still up for discussion, but the ranch they served was homemade. I really enjoyed the deep fried mushrooms and okra. They were both cooked and flavored very well. I had the chicken and dumplings with mashed potatoes. I feel the dumpling side was the size of a side, not a main. Although flavorful, there were only a couple of extremely small dumplings in the bowl.b Other than that, we would definitely eat here again.
We eat here at least once a week. They know us by name and know our order. The food and service are always amazing
Stopped in about closing time and they still welcomed us in. Son had rib steak that he enjoyed and I had a seared pork chop. Had a nice little chat with the owner, nice and friendly guy. Would definitely stop in anytime I'm up that way.
This place is so unassuming that if you blink you miss it. It is the epitome of small town mom and pop hometown business. Yes, I'm still traveling for those who are keeping up. Heading to Vegas . Catch you all on the next check-in, pease.
