Hig's Restaurant

Food is always hot. They could do better about their selections of food, not everyone cares for fish. I ended up getting fish because the other meat selection wasn't too appealing. The inside is very dated and could use a makeover, but then the prices would definitely go up.

When I visit my parents in TN... I love to take them to their favorite spot... HIG's. The most friendly service that makes you feel like a part of the family just coming over for a fantastic home cooked meal. Hint: save room for some of their wonderful desserts!!!

A buffet with an excellent spread of food for every course. Clean restaurant and friendly staff. A favorite for the family. A buffet close by so we don't have to drive to Jackson. Always a friendly staff and I love the assortment of pie to choose from!

Buffet is excellent. Even for 2 thirty something visit everything was hot and well supplied. Whole area clean and some of the best table service I've had in a good while. Nice country atmosphere, great southern food.

The team was great.. this was our first time visiting and the young lady that sat is was great and friendly. The food was hot and delicious. The only thing was the waitress, at removing the empty plates off of the table(not sure if that's her job or not) but the table was full of empty plates and we had to remove them ourselves and place them at an empty table close by. Other than having to handle that on our own, everything was nice.

Hig's has always been a family favorite restaurant for me. I've been eating here for 20 years, give or take. The buffet is always delicious, home cooked, southern comfort food. Daily on the buffet you'll get traditional salad fixings, then to hot entrees like meatloaf and catfish with the proper sides such as mashed potatoes and gravy, cooked cabbage, turnip greens, Mac n cheese, white beans, and ho cakes. Last but not least, they offer a wide array of desserts, pies, cobblers, cakes, oh and ice cream. If you like southern comfort food you'll love it here, if you don't know whether or not you like it, eat there. Then you'll know you LOVE it! Oh and they have excellent waitresses, especially Hayley! Shes super friendly and never lets you go without anything you might need!

Went to Higs tonight and enjoyed time out with my Mom and sister. The food was really good and the service was too notch. Haley and Nicholas were there to help assist when needed and smiled and had great attitudes It felt good to have great service to go along with the great fish and other food choices that we had.

This restaurant is awesome! The food and service was excellent! We live about an hour away but we will be going back again. It's definitely worth the drive.
