Khayal Shawarma

Best chicken skewers in the city! Speaking as someone with severe digestive issues, this place is fantastic for good, clean food. Chicken is basically the only meat that I can eat without getting serious stomach upset, but the way that most restaurants prepare usually bothers my guts a bit. All the sauces and spices overwhelm my system, but I've never had any issues with Khayal Shawarma's meat. It's so flavorful despite the fact that it's not covered from end to end in heavy sauces. They have their marinade, but for the most part, the meat speaks for itself, and it's wonderful. The smell of the flame grill cooking as I wait for my food really gets my appetite going and I'm basically drooling by the time they hand me my to-go container. I've visited 6 or 7 times but I have yet to dine in, YET! It's such a beautiful looking restaurant with tons of space. I love the brick walls and the overall vibe of the place. So clean looking, they really put in the effort to keep their space sanitary, and I appreciate that as much as I appreciate the excellent food. There's nothing stopping this place from becoming a landmark restaurant on the Danforth.

This place is big and their menu is a lot bigger I had the chicken shawarma platter, it comes with rice, salad or fries !! Side of hummus and tahini The guys working here were nice to give me all 3. Their indoor dining was. A problem cuz their door didn’t close and it got very cold. Coming to the food- the chicken smelled and tasted dry even with a lot of hammus and tahini. Maybe next time try their shawrma instead !

Mohammed served and prepared our food, the kindest, friendliest service. The food was incredible - beef shawarma was off the charts, fries seasoned hot and fresh. Hummus WOW! The hot sauce is so flavourful and won’t burn your face off. Definitely a must try. Enjoy!

Food was so flavourful, the sauce was delicious. The rice was also seasoned wonderfully. Huge portion - they hooked us up!!!! Will be returning for sure :)

I’ve just left your restaurant and despite the snow storm I am rushed to write this review: amazing food. really delicious. That chicken wrap is like nothing I’ve tasted on the Danforth. ON TOP OF THAT. 6 dollars for the wrap This is the pinnacle of affordability you guys are freaking awesome

Great food, great service, the staff is always friendly. Mahmoud was the one who served me - he was friendly and patient and answered any questions I had. The food was and is always amazing, hits the spot every time! Would recommend any of their platters and shawarma!

We loved this place . :-) My 3-year-old son is very picky, especially with food, but he absolutely loves their chicken shawarma. We’ve tried chicken shawarma from three other places before and he wouldn’t eat it at all, but here he was so focused eating the delicious food. I even asked about the recipe and was told it’s Syrian-style chicken, it’s amazing taste. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and not too spicy, perfect for family and kids. We ordered takeout as well and it was just as good at home. Highly recommend, especially for families!

Absolutely Delicious! I recently tried the shawarma here, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had! The meat was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and tender — you can really taste the freshness in every bite. The garlic sauce was creamy and flavorful without being overpowering, and the wrap was soft but held everything together perfectly. The portion size was generous, and everything was served hot and fresh. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Whether you’re craving a quick bite or a full meal, this place is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

I had the pleasure of meeting Um Fadi at this shawarma spot, and she is truly a kind and gentle person. I wish her all the prosperity in everything she does. The bread she makes is absolutely delicious, so versatile, and you can tell it’s made with great care. Um Fadi’s bread definitely takes the shawarma experience to another level!

Our server Asif was fantastic super friendly, knowledgeable,He made great recommendations and ensured we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The food was equally impressive—flavorful, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. A wonderful experience all around! I will be back soon

It wasn’t busy when I got there. I ordered the falafel wrap! I was gonna take it to go but at the last minute decided to eat in. I’m happy I did. The presentation was just what I needed. The price was very reasonable. Flavour was great! The falafels were made fresh to order! Everything was great!

We had a good time ! Food was delicious. The spicy shawarma was just the right kind of spicy... Not too much. Not too little... Lots of customers but the one guy working there still made the line go quickly. Lots of toppings and I feel very full even though it was a deal day. They make it crispy as well... I will be coming back. Toilets she could be cleaned better

Looking for friendly staff and amazing food, this is the place to do it! Had nothing but laughs and enjoyed every bite of food, having to take some of it home as you get so much of it. Definitely order the hummus as it is soooooooo good I could eat it all day every day! Definitely coming back more this summer as this is a go to spot.
