Mac's Diner

Had late lunch with a friend. He had deep fried ribs with fries and a salad. I had double bacon cheeseburger with fries. His salad as a full crisp lettuce with shredded cheese and two small tomatoes. The waitress came by and explained the would be a slight delay due the and order of fried chicken was in the fryer first. The wait was not that long. The deep fried ribs looked and smelled delicious. She explained they were using a beer batter recipe. The ribs had a good portion of meat on them for an order of six. Very tender. My double bacon cheeseburger was very large and high speared through the top with a knife. Everything was beautifully kept within the bun and not all hanging out. The chef took time with the bacon to keep it round as it was cooked. Good sized patties and done to medium well. Not dried out. We both had fries and these also was crunchy on the outside and fluffy tender on the inside. No salt placed on them until the customer decides, which was nice. These were not your fast food fries, they were much better. First time here. Clean and cozy. They did a great job setting and decorating. Encourage to go again and see what else they decide to try.

Big menu i'm very good food. Service was fast and friendly. We'll definitely be back.

I just started working in Nokomis not too long ago, and I've been eating here when i forget my lunch. Really great people, love the food as well. Nails the small town dinner experience. Highly recommend stopping by for you lunch break. 5 stars is not enough!

Nice little place. Service was decent. The pork tenderloin was big and definitely fresh. The burger was ok, a little bland and a hair under what I consider done. The fries definitely made fresh and was amazing. My wife said the fried pickles were really good to.

I came in last Sunday and had a taco omelette, been thinking about this place all week. I am planning on going back very soon. The waitress was friendly and attentive, coffee was always full, food cooked to perfection. Keep doing what you’re doing. I absolutely recommend eating here !!!

Waitress was awesome, we were a family of 10. She kept everything straight. Food was awesome, best catfish in forever. Delicious crispy, not fishy tender white meat. Fries were great too. I don't usually waste my time on fries. Everything I brought home heated well on my pampered chef stone. We live in Springfield, IL and this is one of the Best places we have ate in awhile. Did I mention how super cute the restaurant is decorated. Also, not bad for Fall Friday evening leaf peeping drives, Dinner at Macs, then Coffee @ my cousins a few streets down. Great small road trip. Glad my family discovered ya'll Thanks, keep it up

My family and I have ordered from here 3x in the past 2 months and have not been unsatisfied. I was kind of skeptical on ordering from here at first because usually most tiny towns diners food all seems the same and tastes bland. I am very impressed with their food! The pulled pork nachos have been my favorite so far. Definitely recommended.

We had lunch here. Mrs had the cod chunk special with a soda & I had the whitefish special with water. Good food and good portions for $32. Would recommend if you’re in the area and hungry.
