First time I had been there. I was joining some friends for a "Girls" lunch. My first impression was that it was clean and they had the dining room separate from the bar, the service was quick and the food was very good. I will put this on my list of places to eat.
Great place to eat and only 5 minutes south of the Minden IA interstate exit. Reasonably priced. Dylan is usually cooking here and the service is almost always as good as the food. I know Dylan from my years of eating here and he’s been there cooking for a LONG time and is a great chef. The place is casual, there’s a bowling alley and a lively little bar attached. One draw back, the whole place is CASH ONLY, no debit or credit cards accepted. But they have an ATM on site. A really fun place with lots of history, well worth your time.
Truly a gem. A small town eatery that has stood the test of time, and natural disasters. Apparently they have had 2 town-leveling twisters in a 50 year span ( I learned through clippings and pictures displayed on the walls). If you ever get a chance, please stop, it's well worth it. Prices were more than reasonable, portions were very generous, quality and tase was all on point (try the prime rib omelette, it's delicious!) a must-stop if you find yourself in this quant, nostalgic town!
Passing through on our back to Utah and decided to try a local place. The food was great and everyone there was friendly. The waitress acted like she had known us her entire life. Highly recommend.
Reuben sandwich was awesome. Prime rib was very tasty. Staff were friendly and efficient. ***Dining is cash only*** but there is an ATM in the bar.
This is a great small place to eat, the food is always cooked fresh, always full of friendly people and great service. For anyone traveling it's a great healthy bite to eat to get away from all those fast food places at a decent price. I love this place!
Wanted to enjoy a steak dinner on our way back from Colorado Springs, CO. Decided we would check out a small town place and picked this great diner in Minden, Iowa!!! Waitress was very good and the cook made our steaks to perfection!! They had a bar next to it as well as a small bowling alley with a game room!!! Very clean!! We hope to be back!!
Absolutely amazing food and wonderful service. Waitress was very attentive and burgers are full of flavors
