Our first visit ever last night and it was Octoberfest. What a complete blast. The food was fantastic the atmosphere was fabulous. I don’t know when we have had such fun. The oompah band, the beer, the food, everyone and everything was beyond great. I don’t know what else to say but thank you.

As someone who has spent a significant amount of time in Austria, I can attest that this restaurant is legit. The food, the beers, and the atmosphere are all just like what they are like in Austria. The Austrian dishes are very authentic, cooked just like how an Austrian restaurant would cook them. There is no adapting to the American taste bud. The spätzle appear to be hand made which is rare. Some may find the dishes a bit bland but that's authentic. Austrian dishes tend to be more blend than American. The beer selection is pretty good and is representative of the Austrian and Bavarian brews. On tap among the Austrian selection were several Stiegl products and a Hirter which is hard to come by in the US. And above all, they have the Almdudler. "Wenn die kan Almdudler hab'n, geh i wieder ham!" The atmosphere. The staff members were very warm and welcoming without being pretentiously courteous. May be that's just small town America but that's exactly how the servers in an Austrian Gasthaus are. And finally, they play proper schlarger and vollsmusik!!! Not the stereotypical "Eins, zwei, drei, g'suffa" stuff sung in Americanized German restaurants. They play genuine proper schlarger like what people in the Austrian and Bavarian countryside listen to. Think of it as the Austrian and German equivalent to American country music with love stories and trains and animals but no pickup truck. I highly recommend Moser's to anyone who wants to experience what the real Austrian culture is.

It was the most delicious wienerschnitzel and spaetzle I've had I actually ventured to Vienna Austria and it was comparable to the meals that we had their this was one of the best meals I've had in a long time extremely authentic beautiful atmosphere wonderful server name Samantha. It's one of those places that you must stop at if you are in New Carlisle.

Moser’s Austrian Café in New Carlisle, IN is an absolute hidden gem that deserves way more attention! The moment I walked in, I felt a wave of joy — the interior is calm, beautifully decorated, and cohesive. Every detail feels intentional, from the well-placed décor to the gorgeous ceiling. The space is spotless, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Service was fantastic and attentive, and I loved that the waitstaff wore traditional Austrian-style dresses — such a charming cultural touch. Moser’s is also connected to a café stocked with tempting goodies like assorted chocolates and cakes, so definitely peek in there too. Since we were just passing through, we only ordered a beer and pretzels, but they were memorable. No cheese dip, but the homemade olive spread was delicious and the mustard was one of the best I’ve had. At just $5 for a pretzel, it’s an unbeatable deal — especially when many places charge $15+ for the same size. (Bonus: I hear pretzels are free on Thursdays with the purchase of a beer!) As a vegetarian, I was excited to see they offer vegetarian schnitzel — something I couldn’t even find during my actual trip to Austria! I’ll definitely be trying it next time. Bottom line: Moser’s Austrian Café combines authentic charm, great value, and excellent service in a cozy setting. I’ll absolutely stop here again when I’m in the area — and honestly, I wish they could open one near me.

Great small town Austrian restaurant! Welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff! We enjoyed the Thirsty Thursday deal of 2 free pretzels with our 2 beers! The lemon Radler was delicious.

This place is a nice treat when you're looking for something out of the ordinary. The cafe itself was decorated beautifully and kinda made us feel like we were stepping back in time. The menu is extensive with plenty of amazing dishes to choose from. We started with the salad with hot bacon dressing, pork salsa verde chili soup and moved right into the veal schnitzel and kraut and sausage platter with potatoes that were very flavorful. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive and even tho it got busy- she never forgot about us. Will will definitely be back!
