Stopped in very early. Sat at the counter and talk with a couple of regulars. Great conversations. Penny the owner is fantastic and cooks great food. Overall great experience and will be going again soon.
Best place for good eats this side of anywhere. Plain old fashioned homecooked food with friendly people. Best place bar none for breakfast. No credit cards and I love that too, great way to pass on savings to customers. Keep it up Penny and crew
Absolutely one of our new breakfast places anywhere in the state. The staff as well as the food are both over the top. Prices are also very wallet friendly. We would highly recommend you try it out! Went today to try the lunch portion of the menu and we were not disappointed! WOW, lunch is just as delicious as breakfast. So basically you can stop any time they are open and yiu will enjoy a delicious meal and outstanding service!!! Please do yourself a favor and stop in!!!!! You must try the biscuits and gravy. A much lighter and still as tasty version!!!
Went there for breakfast. Small menu, but big portions. Very good old-fashioned diner-style food. Cash only.
We love going to family own restaurants. The atmosphere was cozy. Prices were awesome. Great service. We did not stay in the motel. But we will be back soon.

This is my all-time favorite breakfast and burger place. It is like something from the past emerging out of the mist of time. Wonderful informal atmosphere. Low prices. Friendly efficient and attentive service. A place where local people come to chat with each other and with the staff, which consists of the owner, her family, and one or two others who expertly work the grill behind the counter. The burgers are amazing. Just the right amount of fresh beef on a delicious grilled soft bun. When I ordered a burger with mushrooms, Swiss cheese, fried onions, and bacon, more of the extras fell out as I was eating it than the whole amount that comes with most burgers. When I came back a couple of days later for an egg burger, the sunny side up egg I asked for was perfectly done. The chicken noodle soup was also excellent. I only wish I didn't live 2,000 miles away from the place. I will miss it.
Always delicious with down home friendly flavor and service. Loved the pancake, hung over the edge of my plate! Barely needs syrup it's so flavorful. An iconic stop along that stretch of Hwy 83 south of Hartford.
