Rodger's Dairy Freeze

In Mt Pleasant while on vacation. We’ve stopped at Roger’s Dairy Queen twice (would be many more times if we had stayed longer). We had delicious banana splits on our first visit. Oh, my! They were amazing and the service was so good. We ate outside because we had our dog with us. The servers brought our dog’s ice cream cone out first and then our ice cream. Such nice people! Today, on the eve before we leave the quaint town, we had their Turkey, mash potato, and stuffing platter. It was sublime. My wife prides herself on her Thanksgiving feast. And it is unparalleled, but Roger’s was fantastic. We ordered takeout. We sat and ate in near silence. The moans and groans that accompany a delicious meal were the primary silence breakers. The turkey was moist and tasty. The mashed potatoes and gravy were fresh and wonderful. The dressing had a little pep to it and brightened each bite. A sumptuous fresh salad came with the meal as well as a small container of cranberry sauce. If you are in Mt Pleasant make sure you stop at Roger’s Dairy Freeze for an ice cream treat or for an unforgettable meal. It has been a town treasure since 1954! Thanks Dairy Freeze! The Drapers

Burgers, quick dinners, sandwiches and ice cream done a bit different. Ordered the club sandwich which was not like the traditional club sandwich, think cut meats on Texas toast with melted cheese on the outside. It was different and good. Also had the shrimp Alfredo which was good but anyone who read my reviews now the pasta needs to be Al Dente and this was not but this is a tasty freeze not an Italian restaurant. We stopped for the amazing Liberty signs and were AMAZED! If you're within 100 miles of Roger's you have got to stop by! The burgers were great, and the upgrade to onion rings was the right move. Get an order of scones to tide you over for the few minutes you wait. The service was stellar, and everyone was very accommodating and caring as they modified a few items on the menu. Can't say enough about this local gem - 5-Stars!

Pretty tasty diner. The restaurant atmosphere was nice and cozy. We were greeted warmly upon arriving and were promptly served drinks. My meal was the peppered steak sandwich, which turned out to be a great choice that was suggested by our waitress. The beef in the sandwich was genuine and had great flavor and texture, with a good balance of peppers and onions. The only reason I give 4 stars is the sandwich was a little small for the price I paid. I will come back and try some other menu options for sure.

I expected Roger’s to be an average burger & shake joint. I stand corrected! Now, the burgers were good burgers, salads were fresh, but the star of the show….THE SCONES! Fried pillows of heavenly air matched with equally amazing honey butter, hands down best scones in the county and well worth a trip to Mt Pleasant! (Also I now know that a “half” order just isn’t enough).

The ladies and gentleman that work here are very friendly and smiley — seem like they go out of their way to have a laugh with you and be fun to be around. The food is absolutely amazing, probably one of the best turkey clubs I’ve ever had in my life. Stayed in town for about a week and have gone multiple times to this location it was so good! Love the atmosphere and cleanliness of the place, you can tell they care about their guests and their satisfaction! Thank you Rodger’s Dairy Freeze!
