We were in town for the weekend and decided to try this place for dinner. We had the soup, salad & dinner buffet. The hot dinner food was okay some of the items were luke warm. The soups were great. There were 4 to choose from and you can try different ones. The salad bar was great too. Lots of different toppings to choose from. The best part of our experience was our server Hayden. It was our first time here and I asked some questions. He was so patient and if he didn't know the answer to something he went and got the answer from someone else. His service was very prompt and he was so friendly. Hayden is a rock star!
This was our first time here and it did not disappoint. We ordered off the menu and had the buffet. We wanted to try both. We both ordered steak, cooked perfectly. And the food on the buffet was very flavorful. My favorite was the catfish. We also ordered the fried zucchini and it was delicious. And for dessert, we had the brownie skillet with ice cream. A perfect final touch. We will be visiting again soon. Sherri was our server and she was just amazing.
This was a great stop (on our way back home from branson to Indy), everything was delicious! Really great food, service, very clean restaurant . We had the top sirloin, and it was awesome! They did have a buffet, but we didn't take part. Although, as were on our way out, we were attacked by the bear in the front which was still fun to watch!
I am a sucker for a salad bar and I’ve wanted to go to Silo for a couple of years. We don’t live in the St Louis area, just visit our kids a few times a year. So this trip was the trip that we went. Middle of the week, after lunch but before dinner, peak winter time and the salad bar was full and fresh. All in house crafted dressings was a wonderful touch. I chose the salad bar and buffet because I wanted a SALAD BAR, and my husband had a burger and soup. The food was delicious, the rye bread on his patty melt was almost as much as the half pound patty! Kudos for beats and peas on the salad bar! We were happy. The bathroom was clean with floor to ceiling stalls (comfy) and smelled pleasant. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere. The waitress was Kenzy she gets her own rating. She was attentive, kept our drinks filled, offered to go cups and was an all around pleasant person. She made sure we were happy with our choices (we were) and the food was hot when it arrived. The only thing was, the hand crafted foods were for individual orders, not on the buffet. Catfish must be a local favorite, I did not partake. The food on the buffet was typical buffet fair, but the potatoes were not instant, the green beans had bacon and onions, and the gravy wasn’t clumpy. I appreciated. There wasn’t any soup on the salad bar and no rolls. My suggestion would be to add hot rolls or at least serve them at the table and add soup. Not a complaint, just an observation. We loved it and will likely visit again on subsequent trips.
Nice clean restaurant with fresh food on a buffet! Tuscan chicken tasted like it was homemade! Fried catfish was tasty. Lots of vegetable choices and a huge salad bar! The price was right too! Fresh brewed tea. They also had a gluten free menu.
Stopped by Silo Restaurant for the first time. 5 star does not give this Restaurant justice. It is a 10. The steak is the best steak I ever had. The salad bar is so good i could not get enough. Everything is perfect, the food and atmosphere is top notch. Kim our server is amazing. She had gone above and beyond and made us feel right at home. Praying that Silo Restaurant comes to St. Louis. Even the outside of the building is outstanding as well on the inside. Don't ever change a thing.
Different in a good way. Steak, shrimp, even lobster. Cat fish buffet with all the good side and a fresh and delicious salad bar. First date or out with the family. The silo is definitely worth driving an hour for. Waitress was nice and helpful, took very good care of us out to lunch with my mother in law. Worth a try and the money spent
Really nice and fancy looking inside we went and had breakfast and lunch at the same time. I had the breakfast skillet, which was good. The kids and my boyfriend had the buffet kids buffet is seven dollars. Adult buffet is $16. The food is pretty good. Our server was awesome. We will definitely be back..
