It's the kind of place you see in movies and say, "they don't make them like that anymore". Well, maybe they don't make them anymore but this one is alive and well. Great diner on what is a rather busy street. The prices are reasonable and expect - the quality just as high. The staff is extremely friendly and ready to help.
Omg the steak bomb is huge. The bread is soft. Not hard to bite into. Cheeseburger platter was totally worth it. Melts in yr mouth food. #rainbowmasterchief was here
This establishment survived the pandemic. Great small town deli taste and feel. Perfect spot to grab a quality breakfast or lunch meal. Britney Spear’s “Oops I did it again” plays in the background as I indulge in the delicious cheesy, bacon egg sandwich.
Traditional Cafe eatery in Boston's Government Center district that's a refreshing break from all those 'other' chain cafe franchises. They offer a large selection of foods + breakfast all day, is what brings me here several times a year. I'd go more often, but my budget doesn't allow it. The staff is Uber nice-sometimes they forget a item that comes w/ the meal, but are quick to rectify the error. They put up w/ ALOT of flack from some of their customers & always try to stay positive inspite of it. Note: At 12:45p-2p they're extremely busy w/ the lunch crowd from the court house across the street, so if it's a quick bite at that time ur look'n for, there's gonna be at least a 20 minute wait to get ur food, but worth it in my opinion. They close by 3pm, no dinner served.
Food was good, service was ok, they could have been friendlier but maybe the rain was bringing them down.
Great food, nice people, good prices, cool spot. Hidden gem. Home fries were so good, possibly some of best I've ever had. Not heavily seasoned, onions, crispy but soft inside, pretty much perfect. Edit: going to repeat what another reviewer said: I also saw lots of local construction workers come in to grab to go orders (10-15 in the 40 mins i was there), which is a clear sign of it being the best in the area.
Wow, the food is actually affordable, especially considering it’s Boston. Sandwiches for 6 bucks if u just want a quick bite. They also don’t skimp on the portion sizes. I got the bacon and cheese omelette and it came with home style fries and toast. The food was perfect for a slow morning, and very hearty. All around 10/10 experience and would definitely recommend for people working around the area or visiting.
