The Galley On The River

Excellent food. Great service. This place is kinda off the highway. It was quiet and very needed after a long drive. Fish was warm and flaky excellent flavor and cooked perfectly. Burger was awesome. The sauce was a little warm but excellent flavor.

What a find! Live in Foley and never tried this place only 4 miles from home ! The food was fantastic! You can feed turtles and fish in the river. Very clean and organized place. Will be back many times. Ask for Malyn waitress she's amazing

We have lived in the area a long time and decided to try the Galley out since we heard to many great reviews. We got there for a late lunch since we thought it would be slow after the lunch rush. We liked the initial greeting but it start to get a little busy and took a while for them to take our order. We notice the customer was waiting for his food that was in the good windows but I guess there was a loss of communication between the staff. So the food sat there 10 minutes before he was able to ask if he could get his food. We finally ordered food, chicken wings and a pizza. The wings could have been pre seasoned instead of just having a smoky taste with a taste of sauce. The pizza was pretty good. We saw they had live music from 2 to 5 on Saturday and Sunday. We might have to check this out. We think it's a nice little place to hang out. We plan on returning here and see the live band, hopefully they can improve on service. On a side note, we did notice a staff member get a cup of draft beer and take it to the back. Those optics are hard to ignore.

Y'ALL!!! If you don't eat here, you're missing something big! Everything about this place is amazing, the service was perfect, the food was fresh and delicious, and beers were crisp!!!! I forgot to ask for server's name, but she was one of the best I've had recently!!! The back of the house did a great job as well. We will go back for sure:) This little hidden gem is worth making a regular spot

We had lunch today at The Galley On The River, seriously some of the best food I’ve ever had. Bayou burger, fish and chips, build your own burger and a kids cheese pizza! Sooo goood! The service was fantastic very attentive!

One of our favorite places to eat! Love the atmosphere and the screened outdoor seating. The servers are amazing and the food is great as well!

First time trying this place and when I walked through the door it was a great atmosphere. There were a few families and several individuals dining and everyone seemed to be having a great time. I sat down and Lindsey was very prompt to take my order, she said the special was fried chicken, green beans and mashed potatoes, so that is what I got. The food came out fast and fresh, I really liked the seasoning on the green beans and the chicken was super tender and juicy. The mashed potatoes were good also. Lindsey was very attentive, kind and made me feel like a regular patron. This place feels like it is for everyone, families, individuals or just stop in and have a drink.

Reviewing for Saturday 1/3/26 around 5pm-ish. It is a seat yourself restaurant. We had a party of 9 (4 adults & 5 kids/teens) and we were able to split between 2 tables just fine. Morgan was a waitress and she was amazing! Very attentive and on it with our tables. There was live music when we arrived, so it was loud but we could talk to each other at our own table. They didn't play too much longer after we arrived. The food was very delicious! I came for their beer battered fish & blackened shrimp and they were delicious! (FYI: There is a cash discount, so pay in cash if possible).
