Hands down one of the best restaurants I've been to in a very long time! From the minute we turned off of the County Road where it's located, we knew it was going to be a great dining experience. From the exterior, as the name suggests, looks just like a hunting lodge. The inside was absolutely stunning! Too many details to list, but you can look at the pictures in this review and see for yourself! Now to the food! I ordered an XL ribeye with a side salad and loaded baked beans, and it was the best tasting steak that I've had at a restaurant! I also added 4 grilled shrimp to my dinner, and they were superb! My wife ordered a dozen grilled shrimp with cole slaw and potato salad and came with hushpuppies, and everything on her plate was amazing! We split a piece of coconut pie, and it was amazing as well! My brother ordered a steak with fries and fried okra, and he said everything was perfect. He ordered a piece of homemade strawberry cake, and it was divine! The staff were super friendly and very courteous! The owner came by after we finished dinner and we learned that the restaurant is family owned and all the desserts and side items are homemade and not from a food truck! If you're looking for a great family owned restaurant that feels like home, look no further than The Lodge Steak and Fish! You won't regret it!!!

This was my first time here after knowing about it for years. I am very glad I finally went and I will definitely be going back. It is an out of the way place but definitely worth the effort to find it. From Tuscaloosa and Northport, Alabama head west on US Hwy 82 like going to Columbus, Mississippi. About 10-12 miles past Reform you will see a sign for Ethelsville. Turn left there onto Pickens County Road 75 and go 9 miles. You will see The Lodge on your left at the end of the 9 miles. You can’t miss it. I had the XL Ribeye and it was delicious and tender. A good steak that is well cooked doesn’t need any steak sauce to make it taste good. It is delicious without sauce. I highly recommend this place even if it is off of the beaten path. Chris Spencer Echola, Alabama
