Absolutely fantastic food! I ordered the Dalmatian bordetto which is like a seafood stew. So fresh and tasty. I went at 5:40pm ish and immediately got a table. When I came out, there was a long queue outside. So I recommend going early, especially since they don’t take reservations. A must visit in Dubrovnik!!

Excellent service, very attentive staff. One of the best meals I had in my 7 days in Croatia. I came in early to avoid the line-up and indeed they were able to give me a table in a little nook. The atmosphere was so cozy. The hand made truffle pasta was out of this world. The wine pairing was fantastic.

We had the most amazing experience at Trattoria Carmen on a beautiful summer evening. Wandering down a quiet street away from Dubrovnik’s bustling crowds, we stumbled upon this gem and were warmly welcomed. Even though it was busy, they quickly made space for us outside. The food was absolutely divine, probably the best we’ve had on our entire trip to Croatia. The oysters were delicate and incredibly fresh, and the homemade pasta dishes were unforgettable: one with prawns and truffles, and the other with the most tender beef we’ve ever tasted. Portions were generous, and every dish was prepared with love and care. The staff were attentive, kind, and made us feel right at home. We truly loved our time here and will absolutely return if we’re back in Dubrovnik. Trattoria Carmen is a true culinary treasure!

If you're a pasta lover, this place is a must-visit. The owners, a lovely couple, are truly dedicated to providing both exceptional food and outstanding service. The restaurant is quite small, with around ten tables, so be prepared for a bit of a wait, especially since it's a popular spot. We waited about 30 minutes, but it was definitely worth it for the delicious meal we enjoyed. Overall, the combination of great food and warm hospitality makes this restaurant a gem.

Trattoria Carmen was recommended to us by a local, and it turned out to be such a great choice. The atmosphere is really nice, and the prices are very fair for what you get. The food itself was excellent! The starters were unique and memorable, and the main dishes were full of flavor. It truly felt like the perfect start to our holiday – and we’re already planning to return here for our last evening in town.

This restaurant earns every one of its five stars. The moment I tasted the shrimp and truffle pasta, I was hit with a wave of pure, instant happiness. This dish was so unbelievably delicious: this is a too-good-to -be-true type of restaurant I was tempted to lick the whole entire bowl

I tried their fresh seafood with handmade pasta and i really enjoyed it! You can really taste the umami of the fresh seafood so the taste was really balanced. Just a heads up to everyone, there is no reservation policy in this restaurant so better come early to avoid the long que. I went here on my first night in Dubrovnik and the que was really long so i went to another restaurant. I tried my luck the next day during lunch time and finally got a table for myself.
