Happened to be in town passing thru and found 220 seafood. Food and service were great, place is a little old but don’t let that affect your decision to eat here. Everyone was friendly and food was delicious n hot.
My dad brings me here every time I'm back in North Carolina. It's great Carolina style seafood. I love the popcorn shrimp and clam strips. The hush puppies are some of the best. Service has always been fast and friendly.
Its always the best easy drive from Raleigh, exit 215 North interstate 85 ?about 40 minutesfrom Falls lake . Really good food at down earth to earth prices. Really good atmosphere, peaceful, asked to sit at Mrs Teresa table. Five piece combo $38.00-$ 41.00 including the best New York style cheese cake this side of the Mississippi.
Hubby & I love this area seafood earthy- a fixture in the community for decades- serving southern seafood- trout flounder popcorn & jumbo shrimp - oysters - & more -this place stays busy to say the least - there’s an enclosed shelter to help waiting lines of people from the elements- also security to assist with free ample parking. I had the 220 trout special- a huge fried trout baked potato and a small fresh salad- served fresh hot - crispy. Hubby had a 2 combo with trout & popcorn shrimp- equally delicious - with slaw & baked potato- Our server “Wendy” was fantastic- courteous friendly & efficient- older vintage fishermen decor- very unique. This is not a fancy place- but a family style restaurant with excellent seafood & service. Take out available. Located quite close to a Interstate I 85 North in Henderson NC- a great place to get fried or broiled seafood with reasonable prices.
This was our first time eating here and the food is delicious. From the hush puppies to the shrimp and fries plus the slaw it was all really good. The waitress was fantastic as well. I got a senior shrimp plate for nine bucks. We will be back.
Food was hot and cooked to perfection. Staff wanted to make me happy and easily showed it. They were very busy but made sure I had everything with my take out order. Will go back again soon!
10/10 Recommend — Don’t Judge a Book by Its Cover! Looks a little rundown, but the food and service make up for it! Fried flounder, shrimp, and sweet potatoes were solid hot, fresh, and fast. But the real star? THE HUSH PUPPIES. I’ve never liked hush puppies before, and now I’m obsessed. Went back just to take some home! Oh and the sweet tea was perfection. Prices were super cheap, service was amazing, and the owner was so sweet. If you care more about good food than aesthetics, this spot is worth every penny. Go hungry and don’t skip the hush puppies!
We were working here and always like to have seafood when we are near the coast. This place has the best scallops we have ever eaten. The Sweet potato was perfect and the hushpuppies were great as well.
