I have been craving some Big Bone Buffalo fish for a while. I kept missing it on the food truck at work. Decided to come here and get a dinner to satisfy my craving. This place has been here for years and the good food is why.
Angela takes your order. She’s a sweetheart. The food is crazy delicious. Fresh fish! Is it an upscale fancy restaurant? No. It’s a neighborhood staple that always has a line of hungry customers. Great Memphis treasure!! Grabbing dinner there today!
Oxtails were so good! We ordered Big Bone Buffalo Dinner, Fried Chicken, Vegetable Plate, and Baked Chicken Dinner! No complaints!! The area is not desirable, but the food is great!
Each time I have purchased fish it was fresh and in large quantities. Every two weeks my daughter wants catfish and big bone buffalo. There's a lot of meat on the big bone buffalo
I had the oxtail dinner and OMG, probably the best tasting soul dish I’ve had. People are super friendly and appreciative of your business. I will try their buffalo fish next time.

I had the pleasure of assisting my mom and uncle for a day and they told me they wanted lunch from the Hollywood Fish Market. The best way I can explain this shot is a great soul food and fish spot placed right in the heart of North Memphis. I had meatloaf with spaghetti and Mac and cheese. All meals came with a pancake size of hot water cornbread. The food was amazing and tasted like I was at an old school Sunday family dinner. Everything was fresh and seasoned perfectly. The staff was super courteous and patient with my elder mom and uncle. I'll most definitely be back.
This is a place that I use to visit a long time ago. Just stop going due to the environment inside and outside of the business. As my taste buds got the best of me, I decided I would make a visit. I had heard that the business is under new ownership. I am assuming that due to COVID-19 all of the tables have been removed, which was partly one of the problems. The food is still delicious. The fish was fried crispy without asking. My side items were meatless spaghetti, yams and hush puppies. My second order was delicious as well. You get no complaints here. The staff was very personable, and the service was great.
