Mermaid Fish & Grill House

Visited Mermaid Fish & Grill House recently and had a very positive experience. The fish was extremely fresh and cooked perfectly, with great seasoning that really let the flavors shine. You can tell quality and freshness are a priority here. We also got the platter which had calamari, shrimp and lobster tails…all of which was delicious. The service was also very good — friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. The staff made sure we were comfortable and happy with our order, which added to the overall experience. Overall, a great spot for fresh seafood with solid service. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area and craving well-prepared fish and other seafood.

Very tasty fish! Everything is full of flavour. This was our second time visiting and we’re excited for the next visit. The portions are generous and very fresh. It’s so nice to see a small business doing very well! The experience of picking the fish at the counter makes it very unique. Pricing is reasonable for the quality that you get. Approximately $50 for the counter fish with 2 sides. $25 for a salmon dinner. Would love if they could take reservations for larger groups, even if we have to leave a deposit :)

Had lunch with my 2 daughters. It is a restaurant where you select your fresh seafood and tell them how you want it prepared from their menu. Cooking style is Egyptian. Rice preparation is also Egyptian We had Seabream but there are several fish options. Tou get salad as well Until the food was ready we had fries. Very nice Food is of course fresh, flavorful and very good size portion There is a good crowd . We went as walk in

We travelled from Oshawa. My husband surprised me for our Wedding Anniversary and truly an experience! The moment we walked in the place looked so clean and inviting. We were welcomed right away and the server explained how to order. She was friendly and kind. Not rushing us and answered all of our questions. While we wait for our order, our drinks came and basket of fresh baked nan bread with hummus was served. It was soooo goood!!!! Then our order came, we ordered the platter with Yellow rice, lobster, crab legs, calamari, and shrimps and we chose the mild mermaid sauce. We also asked for a side salad. The food was top tier and words can't even do justice to how goooood it was!!! My husband is not a fan of seafood because of how they are normally boiled and tasteless. This time my husband truly enjoyed himself! We were so full but we want moooore! Ishman ( I hope I heard his name right) truly a kind man. He was so nice and told him it was our wedding anniversary and they played an anniversary song kver their intercom and sent us a dessert! No restaurant ever treated us like that. We also got mango shake and guava shake and the Flav brought us back to our childhood. Overall 100/10 experience. We would be coming back and we will tell our friends and family to try this place! I highly recommend this place. As we drive home I wish I ordered to go! Lol!!! THE BEST FOOD WEVE EVER HAD IN A LOOOOOOONG TIMEE!!!!!

The food was amazing! The flavors were so well balanced, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. The service was attentive and friendly. Our server made excellent recommendations. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing dinner. The staff went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable.

Best Seafood Experience Ever! Absolutely the best seafood I’ve ever had! We shared three platters. Mixed platter with Lemon & Garlic (shrimp, calamari, oysters, lobster), the Basa Fish Platter, and a fresh fish straight from their pool. Everything was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and served with fresh salad and rice/fries. The staff were warm, welcoming, and gave excellent service. Our guests from Vancouver said they’d move to Mississauga just for this food! We savoured every bite and left with happy hearts and full stomachs. Pure seafood perfection!

We were 4 adults. We ordered one lemon and pepper fish Singari (which means butterfly cut) and one deep fried red snapper. Also we had grilled shrimp with vegetables. Basically, you choose the kind and size of fish, shrimp you want, they weigh it and tell you how much it will cost. then you choose the way you want it cooked. Each fish comes with 2 sides (rice , frise, salad). The food was fresh and steamy...delicious. Service was good and friendly. We paid $160 . They charge an 2.5% extra if you use credit card.

Fish was amazing, perfectly seasoned and cooked and love how we can choose our own fish. Calamari was fresh and crispy, some of the best I’ve had. Fries were mediocre, and yellow rice a 7/10. Fresh mango juice was delicious! Only complaint I would have is their dessert menu is lacking. They only had one cheesecake, which seems to have come out of the freezer in the morning. Restaurants need to have better dessert options!
