It was exactly what I figured it was. It's a small local fish joint. Nothing fancy. The fish was good. Not amazing, not bad but solid. They sell fresh fish here. This includes buffalo....you do the math people.
This is one of the closest restaurants to where I live but it has taken me two years to give it a try. I called ahead and ordered a Whole Catfish Plate. I still had to wait a bit once I arrived so I wandered around the building checking it out. You can buy fresh seafood and the seasonings to fix it. The dining room consists of two rooms but it seems most people get it to go. The Catfish Plate includes a pound of catfish which was 4 whole fish in my case. It also includes fries, slaw, & hush puppies. The catfish was good and cooked well but I thought it could have used a bit more seasoning. I'm pretty sure the tartar sauce was from a bottle. (I'm a fan of a great homemade tartar sauce) The slaw was pretty good. My daughter loved it but I prefer the slaw at Dorcheat. The catfish lays on a pile of fries in the styrofoam box. The fries were just fries and didn't stand out in any way. It's a lot of food and I shared this plate with my wife & daughter. The plate cost me $14 with tax. Would I go back? I'm sure I will since it's close to the house but if I'm craving catfish, my favorite in the area is Dorcheat.
Stopped in for lunch yesterday for the first time. Definitely will be going back. Food was fantastic. Best burger in Minden. My husband had the fish po boy and he loved it. Place was very clean and staff was very friendly.

Love this place. Always hot, fresh & plenty of food. The coleslaw is the BEST around & around means best I've ever had.
Really good catfish fillets. The staff is quick & efficient.
Nice little family diner. We got the Fish and Shrimp- which were very good.
