This is definitely the most underrated restaurant in Dawsonville. They are so friendly and the food is so good. The Po boys are out of this world! Good portions, great prices. I can’t say enough nice things about this establishment and the people who run it. It’s gonna be the best bread you’ve ever had too. I could go on.
My husband and I had the catfish and shrimp along with hush puppies and fries. It was very good. Very fresh, it was cooked as you order it. Large portions ! Very nice waitress! We will definitely be back!
Came in from out of town and this place is amazing, hidden gem in this plaza, the staff was super friendly, asked the cashier her recommendation and it was amazing, the food was hot and fresh, well seasoned, well put together, and the sauces were amazing, if I find myself in Dawsonville again im coming back here
Fried shrimp anyone? I've been frequenting Kajun Seafood since moving to the area and have found their fried shrimp to be in a class of its own. The staff are friendly, courteous and always make you feel welcomed. On a few occasions I've tried other items on their menu, such as their catfish, but I always come back to their fried shrimp as being my favorite.
Looks like a hole in the wall but holy cow! I don't do a lot of reviews but if something is exceptional, I must. This place had the best "Low Country Boil" I have ever had in my life and I have been to New Orleans. The crab just about fell out of the shells, the shrimp was cooked to perfection and even the corn, potatoes and BROCCOLI had a delicious flavor! Sorry no sausage though. The restaurant was clean and the staff accommodating and sweet. I will definitely be back. The messy photo of an empty plate may not be the most appetizing, but it shows how I had to devour it.
Don't let this place fool you. On the outside, it doesn't seem like a seafood place but that's EXACTLY what it is! We had the fried sampler, which feeds 4. The shrimp, fish, and chicken were all cooked to perfection with excellent flavors. The hush puppies, french fries, and slaw were delicious too. And the price.... ALL of that food and 4 drinks for under $50 with tip. Wonderful!
Disclaimer....my family already devoured half of it Great quality and a lot of food for the $$. We got the sample platter to go. It came in a large casserole type dish with a layer of crispy fries on the bottom, 8 small hush puppies, 6 pcs of fish, 10 HUGE shrimp (definitely not chewy at all) and 10 juicy oysters + a few cups of coleslaw. Definitely enough to feed 3/4 as stated or even 5-6. Fish is crispy but not heavy breading, cocktail sauce is flavorful with a kick.
The food was delicious. The medium snow crab was cooked very well. The fried shrimp and catfish was great. The cat fish has good breading as well as the shrimp. The fries and hush puppies were alright. The atmosphere was interesting, the drink machine didn’t work and had no ice. We were the only people in there. Would come back if I was around but wouldn’t go out of my way for it.
