Nice buffet for the price. Fried fish, baked fish, fried chicken, boiled shrimp, fried shrimp, crab cakes, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans... lots of options, plus they have a salad bar. The place was pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon, kind of loud for my preference and the seating is tight quarters but overall still a great place to eat for a buffet style restaurant.
Greeted with Southern hospitality as soon as you walk thru the door. This place can feed a crowd and they know how to do it. Place was packed at 5 pm on a Saturday, and we still got in/out in under an hour. Gave it 4 stars on Food only bc I wish they had a few more vegetable options to help even out all the fried foods, but all in all an excellent experience. Will Def be back and recommend it to friends/family.
Waitress didnt come around too often. There was a decent crowd but not too many for her to tend to the customers.i never got more to drink after a plate n half of some awesum food.
Easy and tasty eating!! The catfish, hush puppies, and chicken are EXCELLENT! And so are the coleslaw, shrimp, and sugar biscuits! And they have a salad bar and they serve gumbo! We highly recommend getting the buffet - because you just can't go wrong. Also, they have multiple delicious desserts and SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM! Simply put - great staff and service with DELICIOUS FOOD. Don't sleep on Tadpole's Catfish Barn!!
Want some great fish? Maybe a nice bowl of chicken and dumplings, brown beans... or gumbo? This is the place! Nice buffet, clean restaurant, and good service. Lots of options on the buffet from crayfish to salad to fried chicken and stuffed crab. You'll find something for everyone. Desserts are really good, too. Next time you come through Pleasant Plains, Arkansas, stop in and have a great meal before you leave.
Very nice and appetizing seafood buffet. The gumbo was fantastic with a little bit of their lemon pepper baked fish in it. Server was great.
Good selection of food on the buffet. I wasn't impressed with the pulled pork, but I was there for the fish. The fish was seasoned well & not overcooked. Service could have been better.
Absolutely amazing restaurant. Very affordable and so delicious! It's a buffet so you can go back as many times as you'd like. They have such wonderful food and even deserts. Staff is so amazing and friendly. It's a wonderful place for a family outing or even just a romantic date.
