Riptides Shave Ice & Snacks Kauai

My first shave ice in Hawaii and damn this one delivered had the mixed fresh fruit shaved ice with dragon fruit and guava, and a guava is super highly recommended, and it came with ice cream but which was only a dollar but I wouldn't even need the ice cream. I just wanted the shaved ice cuz it was so refreshing and smooth, also accidentally had a free hula show on the bench next to the truck on Monday evening so that was a solid experience but definitely come back edit: came back again and got the shave ice with mango and guava with no ice cream and she gave us extra Mac nuts which was a nice treat and it was incredibly drinkable and still my favorite spot to pick this up. surprisingly being the first one I've been to for it, it's. so smooth and soft and light and highly recommended. also have a hot dog and it was okay

The shave ice here is outstanding. The real fruit makes all the difference — it tastes like real mango and guava, not syrup. So fresh, so flavourful, and not too sweet. Absolutely worth it.

This place has the best shaved ice on the island. Their traditional shaved ice is amazing and melts in your mouth, but the real fruit shaved ice is next level, all dairy free and have a dairy free coconut topping. We also got the kalua pork on rice and it was so good. They’re allergy friendly and have lots of options for everyone! Mindy and all the employees are the sweetest people. We ended up coming almost every day because we loved it that much. We’ll forsure be there again before we leave and will most definitely be back and recommend them to everyone coming to Kauai, love this place and the people who run it!

Great people and great Shave Ice. The food cart is right across from the beach so you can go enjoy the waves while you eat. We went there three different times during our stay in Koloa

Everything about this spot is perfection! It’s a tiny kiosk in front of the beach with excellent snorkeling and killer sunsets. But what was most impressed with was the selection of organic and natural syrups with real fruit and just cane sugar that Mindy makes herself. It doesn’t get more Hawaiian than this. If you’re not here for the shaved ice then get the lava sundae which comes with an ooey gooey warm brownie. Not to be missed. By far the best shaved ice experience I’ve had yet!

Riptides Shave Ice & Snacks on Kauai gets a glowing 5 stars from me! This place totally stole the show for shave ice on our entire trip. First off, the location is unbeatable - right on the beach! Perfect for cooling down after a day in the sun. But what really sets them apart is the quality. They use fresh fruit syrups, and you can really taste the difference. We really appreciate this type of syrup, because our son has a sensitivity to food coloring. It's so much more refreshing and flavorful than the typical artificial stuff. And get this - they actually poke holes in the shave ice before pouring the syrup on! This might seem like a small detail, but it makes a huge difference. The syrup gets all the way down, so every single bite is bursting with flavor. We tried shave ice at a few other places on Kauai, but Riptides was hands down the best. They absolutely deserve all the praise!

Amazing service with the food to match. They have our favorite pork bowl and our favorite shaved ice. Generous portions and beautiful beach to sit and eat. This was our favorite place to grab lunch on the island!

What an awesome find. My first time in Kauai I had to have a hotdog. Talking with the owner it turns out she is from New Jersey not far from where I grew up. We had a great time talking about where we lived. Small world concept at work. Great food and smoothies. I’ve eaten here twice. Thanks, Mindy for your awesome service.
