Always a great place to catch a Habs game. Have never eaten there, so can’t comment on food, but drink prices are standard. Ambiance is great with a moitié-moitié on saturdays and between period entertainment involving a little person. Fortement recommandé pour se sentir chez vous à Playa.

Los Tabernacos is a great sports bar that’s in a bad location. Physically they are, for lack of a better phrase, on the wrong side of the Sun. The bar is located on the side of the street that gets constant sun and even though they have shutters, they are metal and create a “ hotbox” effect. I went twice during the day and broiled both times. Maybe insulated shutters might be the answer. I’m sure the place is awesome at night. The service i found a little slow but the prices and food made up for it. They also like to show hockey games and are particularly found of the Montreal Canadiens. Toronto fans maybe look elsewhere

I’ve been coming this pub for nearly a decade now, and I must admit I am enamoured by it. It is a lovely “home away from home” in terms of ambiance, where we can enjoy french canadian delicacies in the heart of Playa del Carmen. Brilliant Hot Chicken sandwich, good poutine and great beer! Terrific place to catch a hockey game and revel in authentic Québec fashion.

We found a French Canadian sports bar a few minutes down the street from our hotel earlier this week. Los Tabernacos...amazing food, drinks and energy. Among the stunning authentic food here, this little gem is a must. It's 37 degrees my friends. We have fallen in love with Playa and already planning next years trip. Will be adding in day trips to truly take in this area.

Love, love Los Tabernacos! I always come for the poutine...I added the black pepper. When I'm feeling homesick for Canada or craving poutine.. I wander in. Food quality is suburb, service is excellent, and the atmosphere always feels like Tuesday Wing Night back home...a place and time to connect with friends and neighbors. Love this place....Hockey nights are busy so come early and become a member of the local Habs Fan Club.

I'd say from my experiences this is THE best sports bar in Playa del Carmen, by far. Great atmosphere for sports events, lots of TVs, cold beer, friendly service (staff all speak English & Spanish and some also speak French) and a very enthusiastic Canadian owner Daniel who with his dynamism and energy simply adds to the fun. - been to Tabernacos many times and the food is always consistently good too. - I was there recently late night for the Canelo v Crawford Boxing fight and it was packed with people, but the staff still found me a table, much appreciated!

A MUST GO!! Seriously! My family took me here to try their famous poutine and it did not disappoint! I had the porky poutine and it was wayyyy better than I ever expected. We also had the tiramisu and it was not only delicious but beautifully presented. The staff is awesome and super friendly and the owner is a great guy from Montreal! I highly recommend!
