Many menu options, great drink menu, amazing salad bar, and awesome service make this place a must! We stopped in on a road trip to Kentucky Bourbon country and we were very happy with our choice!
This is Cattleman's Restaurant in Shepherdsville, KY!! I have to say that this was the first time out of three times that my husband and I really ENJOYED IT HERE! The service at the bar? On it! Food? The burger was cooked perfectly! I love the restaurant that asks, "How do you want your burger cooked"!? That means the restaurant doesn't cook your burger WELL-DONE!! YAAY! THE BURGER CAME OUT 'MEDIUM"!! HSPPY DANCE! The salad bar? Really? Amazing, fresh and CLEAN! I understand Prime Rib on Sundays, until they run out! Oh, one last thing? Sautéed Mushrooms are phenom! The mushrooms weren't out of a jar! Yay! Please go! Good food, Happy Hours, and service was great!
Service was good. Food was good but not great. With it being the only place I could find to order a steak in sheperdsville I would recommend it but if you have time I would drive to Elizabethtown or Louisville
On the road for work , whether in Sheperdsville or Louisville , talk of the town is Cattleman’s . Y’all did not disappoint! Steak was great! Sides appetizer and drinks and atmosphere was all great. Waitresses all polite and respectful. Portions good. Thank you we will be back
I love the food but i usually end up getting the salad bar. You get lots of choices for add ons, dressings and even some sweet items. And their potato salad is awesome. Our waitress was on top of drink refills so we never had an empty glass.
Good food, great service, nice rustic log cabin setting. The server greeted us within a few minutes. Drinks were served up soon after. Appetizers came out a few minutes later. They were tasty and didn't last long. Drink refills, trip to the salad bar and our 5 meals came out. I had the bone in ribeye, sweet potato and salad bar. The salad bar is extra but well worth it. The steak was cooked properly and was tasty. The sides were delicious. The recommended dessert was good too. On the Texas scale, I rate this place an 8 out of 10. The service is 10/10. The value is 10/10. Would I go back, absolutely!
We were very happy with our food and service dining as a group, enjoyed the fresh salad bar and our onion appetizer.
The bread we got before our meal was hot and extremely good with the cinnamon butter. The salad bar had lots of options and everything I got tasted good. The burnt ends Mac and cheese that I got which is Mac and cheese with brisket on top was really good. Our server Hope was very sweet and helpful during our visit.
