What a fantastic surprise for me to find this place. This may very well be the best burger in the state of Kansas. No pre-made, packeged patty here. The beef was excellent. Everything was perfectly fresh and cooked, just as I asked. This place is another one of the little gems hiding out there across rural Kansas, and if you find this one, you won't be disappointed. The staff was friendly and the service was also excellent. One thing for certain is that this place may be a little out of the way, but I am definitely going back.
WOW! We had the prime rib special and it was absolutely fantastic! The size of the serving along with the sides were more than enough for a good eater. The service and server was friendly, courteous; she answered all of my gluten free questions. We had no cross contamination effects after the meal. It was truly one of the best pieces of beef I've had in many years. I highly recommend them. Have a cold one with your meal and you will go back for more.
Well if you are looking for that interesting place that gives you a unique feeling of folksy Americana, this is it. One of the few places I have been that is so popular the parking lot is full of cars and of course a Harley and a Golf Cart! People come from all around to eat the food in this country bar and grill. The place was full, the waitstaff busy and everyone was happy, talking and sharing stories and the place had that buzz of conversation that you find in small places like this. While obviously a central meeting place for dining and libation in the small town of Vining, it is also interesting with the mix of corrugated tin roofing and taxidermy, (Elk, Deer, a Duck and what appeared to be a Badger) hanging on the walls. Look, if you are coming here for fine dining, forget it! If you want a very decent sized portion, in a folksy, friendly and interesting place, leave your tie at home and put on your baseball cap and or cowboy hat and mosey on in. Be willing to wait for some service if their busy and just enjoy the down home feeling of the place. Be patient and when your food comes, you'll be quite pleased. I had the 14 oz Rib eye, and it was delicious, char broiled and very tender. It was worth the wait. Lloyd (Stormy) Hall, Miltonvale, KS.
Great food friendly staff. You won't go wrong eating here. We went on Prime Rib Friday yummy.
We loved this place! Great food and portions, people. Drinks are very inexpensive.
This place is AWESOME! I thought I'd done a review but I guess didn't, so here goes! We love this place! Whether it's with a group of bikers, out with friends or a date night, it's great! I'm heading there again as soon as I finish writing this! Fridays and I believe Saturdays as well is prime rib night! Delicious! The steaks are simply delicious and our servers really made us feel at home! Alright, time to wrap this up, because I'm heading there! See ya!
Don't judge this place by the building! The outside might not catch your eye, but once you're inside, you'll find a hidden gem. It's cozy, with a small bar area that includes a couple of tables, bar stools, and even a pool table. There are also three separate dining areas for the restaurant, each with its own charm. The decor has a nostalgic, older vibe that adds to the welcoming and laid-back atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and full of personality — you can tell they love what they do. We ordered salads, baked potatoes, ribeye steaks, and wings to go. The steak was so flavorful that I could only eat half and reheated it two days later — it was still absolutely delicious. If you're looking for great food, good people, and a relaxed environment, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’ll absolutely be back!
