My husband and I found this place on Google as we are still new to the area and wanted a stake. The service was great. We got the stake and salad bar. We received our food only 5 minutes after finishing the salad. $43 for stake, baked potato, and salad bar was a good price to me. Definitely will be going back.
Best steak and salad I’ve eaten. Amazing service!!
The steaks were great and the dessert with ice cream and a brownie with some chocolate~caramel topping was amazing!! I would go back just for that!
This was a very neat place to visit. My wife and I just wanted to have a night together so we went south to Winfield Alabama to eat seafood. They were pretty much par for the course when it comes to seafood restaurants NOT near the Gulf or an ocean region. In other words the food was fried or grilled. Catfish was considered "seafood" and it was all fried in the same batter so it all tasted pretty much the same. The service was good. The servers really did a great job with everyone there as far as I could tell. My water glass never even came close to being empty. I sincerely appreciate that quality in a server. Ok, on the food. The crab claws were very overcooked! They were about like eating crab claw jerky. The shrimp were ok fried. The batter on everything was a bit too thick. I love just a basic dusting of seasoning and rice flour. Well enough of that. I wonder if the crab claws were actually pre packaged frozen. The food took 37 minutes to get there. No joke, 37. I was looking at my phone checking it when she brought the food out. It wasn't that busy when we got there. It could have been more efficient. The bill was as usual. $52.68. That is for two diners with water and lemon. The service was really excellent. They know the kitchen is slow and they do everything in their power to keep their clients happy. I really appreciate that in an established.
My husband’s first time to eat at Yampertown Steakhouse. It had been a few years since I have been. We had a wait to be seated. We signed in but feel like others we seated before us. For our appetizer, we had the jalapeño hush puppies. The salad bar was very good and kept well stocked. Our entrees were the special of the night, an eight ounce ribeye. It was ok. I’ve had worse, but I’ve had better. After a very long wait for our food, it was a little disappointing. May try the catfish in the future. The noise level is high if it is a sensory issue for some.
Omg. Great service delicious food and a clean bathroom an all around Great restraint. Out waitress McKenzie was on her toes and polite greetings with a smile it's clear to see that the owners of this hot spot are out to make a good impression. I'd give em ten stats if I could
We had a group of just over 20. They accommodated us really well (we'd called ahead) Everyone had something different - from what I could tell. My hubby had the fish platter which was a LARGE portion and very good. I had crab cakes and a baked sweet potato. Other had fish or steak (heard that was a lil tough) Service was wonderful! Tracy was our waitress and was wonderful!!
Ok it has been awhile since I have eaten at Yampertown. I usually go to Cedar Landing. I will say both are good but the Seafood platter at Yampertown is outstanding. It is a huge serving. You definitely get your money's worth. The staff was friendly and they have a good salad bar as well. I will definitely be back more often.
