My first job and I still go back every time I visit Hawaii. I only go to the Kozo at Windward shopping center. Quick take out sushi.

The sushi was really good, I liked the flavors and rice texture. I called in a order for a few platters, everyone I encountered was very friendly and nice. I would definitely recommend this place and come back. It was a perfect for 10-15 of us today.

Great place to pick up sushi! There are a few pre-made rolls, but most of the sushi is made fresh while you wait. Prices range from under $5 to over $30 for a party platter. It is possible to order in advance for the platters. There is just a bench inside for seating, so when it gets crowded you end up outside. Prices are very reasonable and it really is good. Be sure to pay attention to the store hours because they close mid afternoon!

First time trying it out and I had an incredible experience! I got a lunch plate to get a variety of what they had to offer, and everything on it was delicious! I was honestly not expecting much from them based on their small store and low prices, but it was amazing! The only thing I wasn't impressed with, was the customer service. They weren't rude or anything just quiet and not very charismatic, but that in itself was no big deal (I'm here for the food, not the people). I'm marking this place so that whenever I come back to visit Hawaii I can stop by for some low priced, high quality sushi!

I ordered the Aloha Platter today and it was ‘ono! This was my first time ordering with Kozo and was thrilled when they took a same day order for a platter! Woman at the cashier was very nice as well! Will be ordering again for sure! Mahalo Kozo!

Excellent food and service! We had so much fun chatting with the employees here! The food was unforgettable! My son loved the California rolls. We enjoyed the Spicy Ahi Maki and the Philly roll. My daughter loved the kid's Spam Musubi pack too. Thank you for a memorable dining experience ladies and “Grouchy Old Lady”

If you’re a true sushi lover, this place is an absolute must. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warm hospitality that instantly feels like you’ve been welcomed into a traditional Japanese sushi-ya. The staff not only provide impeccable service — attentive, gracious, and prompt — but they also speak Japanese, adding an extra layer of authenticity that’s increasingly rare to find outside of Japan. But let’s talk about the real star here: the sushi. The hand rolls are, without exaggeration, the best. The fish is impossibly fresh, the rice is seasoned to perfection, and the balance of flavors is masterful. Every bite is crafted with such care and precision that you can tell the chefs are true artisans of their craft. What’s the catch? They close early — like, 3 PM early. And that’s honestly the only downside. It’s a bit of a heartbreak knowing something this incredible isn’t available for dinner. But if you can plan your day around it, you’ll be rewarded with a sushi experience that’s unforgettable.
