Found this treasure place when I was looking for Dominican/ Mexican food for lunch at work. Really really good slow cook ribs. I really want to know how they seasoned it even there might be some recipes online. When you chewing the chicharrones the juice/fat just come out and it taste really really good. Ribs/ chicharrones(crispy slow cook pork belly), rice and beans, salad, and maduros(sweet fried plantains) for $13. Do not go to Applebees, TGI Fridays, McDonald’s, meals from local tea like this gives you better and healthier choices, and they deserved more customers. Part of ribs and chicharrones(the part doesn’t include much fat) became too hard/too dry to eat after long time cook, some of them are not eatable anymore since it’s too hard. There should be a way to avoid this problem. As I know the Cantonese type Chinese BBQ restaurant has slow cook ribs and crispy pork belly too (with different seasoning of course) , but theirs doesn’t have this problem, and pork belly are perfectly brown. I don’t know how they do it. Maybe cover meat with aluminum paper and be more accurate at the timing and temperature by cooking them not as long as Latin chicharrones(chicharrones taste harder/crispier). If you try pork belly from both restaurants you will know what I meant
Food was amazingly good, nice employees, clean restaurant. The prices are great. I ordered rice and vegetables covered in beef stew sauce with chicken and salad. I thought I was going to pay more than I did. So I tipped the difference. I recommend you give them a try you won’t regret it.
Absolutely delicious breakfast of mangu with red onions, eggs, and longaniza sausage. Everything was cooked to perfection and I will definitely be back for more.
Don't worry about what to eat. Whatever you order will be the best food around. So so good, and fair prices. Super clean restaurant and people!
I ordered the chicken quesadilla and beef pastelillo. The pastelillo tasted great but it didn’t have as much filling as I’d like. The chicken quesadilla was BANGING! One of the best quesadillas that I had in a longgg time. The chicken was juicy and well seasoned and also was very filling. Prices are reasonable and customer service was great.
I always grab food from them. EVERYTHING is bomb and affordable. Great people great food
Good latin food, great flavor. Overpriced though, including $3 for a 20oz soda, you're lucky if you can get lunch for under $10. Hard to find parking. The food isn't bad, and the service is quick depending on what you order. The staff is helpful for anyone that may not know what an item consists of.
Loved the open kitchen concept. Fun to watch the chefs at work.
Food is always hot and awesome delicious Would love if they had smaller portions Instead of force feeding you whatever they have
Food here is always amazing! Never disappoints! Great tasting fresh and service is always super customer friendly. I am very happy they're in the neighborhood
Hidden gem. You get massive servings for lower prices ($14 for 2-3lbs), and arguably better food. They made sure i was well fed. Food was delicious.
Fresh alcapurias, el mofongo with shrimp is flavorful and taste great
