Always happy to come back to Sunning! For local western restaurant. The service is so good I felt I am at Pen hotel!Others should learn from them! They hv kept the food quality 100% with sometime new food menu. Set lunch price is so reasonable. Also great place for afternoon tea. Must try : Beef stroganoff
I have been visiting this restaurant since my childhood. Their food quality never disappoints me. My favourite dishes are the prime rib, escargot, and baked seafood with rice!
Old style western restaurant offering quality cuisine. Service was good but could be improved to hotel standard. Price was not too high relatively. Unlimited supply of bread choice was fine though keeping hot or warm was better. Coffee was good. The famous desert, Souffle was not available at busy lunch time.
My favorite restaurant in Causeway Bay for transitional Hong Kong–style steak and Western cuisine. Their steak is especially good, the food overall is delicious, and the service is warm, friendly, and outstanding.
place: roomy , clean , traditional old hk western dining service: friendly & helpful food: good escargots in half dozen ; sat on a layer of mashed potato , served hot and great tasty , lobster soup so creamy , baked chicken fettuccine topped with cheese , nice and good portion
Honestly, I haven’t been here in over 20 years, back when they were at different locations. My strongest memory is of their buttery sole dish, while the rest was your typical Hong Kong-style Western food. As I’ve grown older, I’ve come to appreciate the uniqueness of this cuisine—it’s nostalgic and comforting in its own way. Their lunch set is reasonably priced, and the service is top-notch. I’m sure I’ll be back, probably bringing my parents along for a trip down memory lane.
Sunning restaurant is one of the few classic Hong Kong Style Steakhouse still in business today. Their grilled beef set is my favourite. It is only available on Sundays or sometimes Saturdays. The thick slice of beef cut is very tender and juicy. A wonderful treat on a cheat day. Besides the steaks set or mixed grilled set, the restaurant is also famous for their baked rice or spaghetti and their Bosch Soup or Camprador Soup.
Classic canto-western restaurant. Nice restaurant for couples. High recommend their soup.
