It was a great experience for us. The restaurant is super clean and quiet. The food is fantastic. You can see it from my pic: it was so good that I even forgot to take photos before I started eating! The plate was so big that my friend has packed out half of the food for another meal. Will recommend the place.

If you’re craving authentic Yemeni food in Chicago, Taza Bakery and Hadramout Restaurant is such a hidden gem. The moment you walk in, you can smell the fresh bread baking, and that alone already wins you over. Their lamb mandi is incredibly tender and full of warm, fragrant spices, and the rice is fluffy and flavorful without being greasy. I also loved the fresh tandoor-style bread — soft, slightly chewy, and perfect for scooping up everything on the plate. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere feels simple and welcoming. It’s the kind of spot you go to when you want real, comforting food that feels homemade.

Had an amazing experience at Taza Hadramout The burger was juicy with a soft, buttery bun and perfectly crispy, seasoned fries — super satisfying. I also tried the hummus with lamb, and it was incredible! The lamb was tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the creamy hummus. The service was fantastic — friendly and attentive — and the food was ready in just 15 minutes. Everything was fresh, tasty, and well-presented. Definitely coming back

It's a very good Hyderabadi Yemeni restaurant! Their Lamb Mandy and Lamb Zurbian are really good. True authentic taste and quality. I give this restaurant 8.5/10. It's a bit small restaurant for the crowd they get and it's kinda hard to find parking during weekends.

Food was pretty delicious. We ordered chicken shawarma fahsa, combo haneeth, and Hyderabadi chicken biryani. The shawarma, fries, and the Yemeni food were outstanding! Everything was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. Absolutely delicious. The biryani was delicious, as well, but was our least favorite. We will definitely be back, rhough likely for takeout. The restaurant is pretty small and a little uncomfortable for a family, as there are mostly bachelors eating inside. At least when we visited. Overall 10/10!
