Bandwagon Diner

Impromptu stop since we heard about this place as a staple amongst Toms River family who grew up there. The diner has been remodeled, so it has modern furniture and window treatments. With a bit more decor and lighting, the atmosphere could become even warmer and inviting. Excellent service and food. We shared an order of disco fries, then 2 entrees - hubs had meatball parm and I had the patty melt (pic below). They give you soup, coleslaw and fries w the meals. (We subbed veg). Tons of food for a very reasonable price. We would be regulars if we lived closer. Will def be back!

Portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. The pancakes and omelets really stood out, and the menu has plenty of variety whether you’re in the mood for breakfast, a burger, or comfort food. The service was decent but not outstanding, about a 3/5. The staff was polite, but things felt a little slow at times, especially when it got busier. Nothing bad, just room for improvement. The atmosphere was right in line with a classic Jersey diner — clean and casual, with a steady stream of regulars coming through. I’d rate it a 3.5/5. Comfortable enough, but not particularly memorable. Overall, Bandwagon Diner hits the mark for what you’d expect: good food, fair prices, and a no-frills environment. If you’re in Toms River and want a traditional diner meal, it’s worth a stop. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5 overall)

My husband and I are from out of state, but have been coming to the Jersey Shore since 2018. Everytime we come we always eat here for breakfast. The staff is always so polite and friendly and the food is always consistently delicious and a great price. We haven't been in a few years, so we had no idea they have a brand new building. It's absolutely beautiful, inside and out. You HAVE to come here. This place is such a staple to the community and we can't wait to come back next time we're in town.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for a long time, and it has always been such a wonderful experience. Recently, the place was taken over by the new owner, Kadir, and his son Haktan, and they’ve continued the tradition of excellence while adding their own warm and welcoming touch. Both of them are incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely care about their guests, which makes every visit feel special. The service is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. Omar, one of the waiters, goes above and beyond — not only is he professional and attentive, but he also makes you feel like a friend. He greets everyone with kindness and always makes sure the dining experience is smooth and enjoyable. The food is another highlight. Everything is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. What I especially love is that they constantly update their menu with new items, which keeps things exciting and gives me something new to look forward to each time. Overall, this is truly the best restaurant in Toms River. From the welcoming atmosphere created by Kadir and Haktan, to Omar’s exceptional service, to the consistently fresh and delicious food, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s rare to find a place where you feel both like a valued customer and a friend, but this restaurant delivers that every single time.

This Bandwagon is a great establishment! The food came out hot and delicious. The staff was attentive and so sweet. Not only were they serving up great meals, but the were hosting a Girl Scout Troop the day of our visit too! Finding places willing to be involved with the community in this economy is hard to come by and something I really admire . We highly recommend the Bandwagon for any meal of the day!

Stoped by for a quick lunch… the food was solid, but there was lots of waiting. We waited for a table, we waited for our waitress, we waited quite a while for the food to arrive and one of our orders never showed up. They were very apologetic and offered it for us to take home, we declined and they took it off the bill.

My breakfast always comes the way I like it, Our server Ralphe is always attentive, courteous, and friendly. She knows how i like my food and ensures the food comes out the way I want it by mentioning to the cooks..Ralph always checks back more than once to make sure we are okay, not a drop &run server. Thank you Ralphe

We love the Bandwagon! We have ordered many different things and they have all been great! We’ve brought lots of family members here too and everyone raves about it. Our server Lia was very efficient and helpful as well!I highly recommended!!PS. ; the Bandwagon Bake is super yummy!!
