Billy B's Sale Barn Cafe

Maaaann! You know the food is going to be awesome when it’s all locals, and the guy at the next table is wearing cowboy boots with the spurs!! Service was fantastic and we are DEFINITELY going back! **added bonus: watching the livestock auctions on Thursday’s!**

Amazing place. Steak was seasoned, charred and cooked to perfection- homemade sides and great sweet tea.

I can't say enough about this place!! The food is super fresh, all home made from scratch. The burgers are to die for! The onion rings are world class. The chicken fried steak is worthy of a Michelin Star. The homemade yeast rolls will curl your toes and the homemade chocolate cream pie is a religious experience!!!

As a first timer, the location (From San Antonio) is far. My Dad lives near Fairfield and that drive is a 40 min drive, and the burger was worth it! Unfortunately my onion rings were not seasoned. They were missing salt. Nice atmosphere and it wasn't crowded, most likely due to the weather because I hear Billy B's is super crowded on Friday nights.

We thought we would give Billy B's a try since the food pics looked pretty good. Well now we have been back now, the last time I had the Catfish and shrimp plate, this time I had the 1/3rd pound hamburger with cheese. OMG what a pleasant surprise, Billy B's is actually a restaurant that's part of a cattle auction barn in Groesbeck, Texas. Let me tell you, if you don't try this place when you're nearby, you are really missing a great restaurant. The service was right on track, quick and friendly. The food was so good, everything my wife and I have tried has been very tasty! However this time I thought I would try one of the deserts. I ordered the cheesecake to go. When I got home and let the wonderful dinner settle a bit, I opened the cheesecake I brought home from Billy B's. Wow was I surprised!! This piece of cheesecake was huge! It was at least 6" thick and about 3" wide! When I tasted it, it was so creamy and flavorful I knew I made a great choice!! This has to be the best cheesecake I've ever ordered from a restaurant. The graham cracker crust had a thick crust that was like graham cracker heaven. Put the two together and this cheesecake was a real winner for desert. If your looking for a different kind of place, a bit out of the way, pop into Billy B's for some of the best food in Texas!! You'll be a return customer just like we were!!!

OMG. We were passing through and stopped here. The cafe is so cute. It's really decorated nicely. The chicken fried chicken was really good. The server was great and not too pushy . I felt like I could sit and enjoy my food without being rushed out. I highly recommend and will definitely stop sgain.

2025 review Billy b's is still, by far the best food around. Best service- the staff are all extremely personable and take amazing care of their customers! You won't get a better steak for the money anywhere! It's cooked to perfection! I love the broccoli cheese casserole, the mac and cheese is homemade, their soups are good, and their desserts are amazing (especially the brown cow) cheesecake 2024 By far the best food around and the service is absolutely top notch! My bf and I both got steaks, and they were excellent! I got a cup of the chicken poblano soup and loved it. We were the last to leave at the end of the night, but the staff never made us feel rushed. I can't wait to visit again!

Our first time here, new to the area but we loved the food that we ordered. We will for sure come back.
