Falls Overlook Cafe

I came here for a late lunch, and the place had a steady flow of customers for a Thursday afternoon. The front-of-house staff was friendly, welcoming, and actively cleaning the restaurant while taking orders at the register. The atmosphere is casual—perfect for a stop after walking around the beautiful nearby park and enjoying the waterfall. There’s also outdoor seating available, which adds to the relaxed vibe. The food was great! The kitchen was staffed by just one person (Willie), everything came out quickly and tasted delicious. I would definitely recommend stopping by this spot

Sioux Falls Burger Battle, 2025: Butter Pecan Melt This burger has such great flavor! With or without the butter pecan ice cream, both was excellent. Their statement of: "a bold, unexpected twist that delivers a rich, creamy finish." is 100% accurate. You guys are tied with Swamp Daddies in my book! Well done!

Everyone who works here is wonderful! And the FOOD is all amazing and made in house. The ice cream is amazing. They are also pet friendly, which is what allowed us to eat there. We went during "yappy hour" by chance, and my girl got a free pup cup! We got the BBQ pork nachos and 2 scoops of ice cream, everything was delicious. Highly recommend yall stop in and enjoy the food and the people!

Wonderful Dog Friendly experience. We were pleased to learn it allows dogs inside, which on a hot day, is much more pleasant. And the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The grilled cheese paninis where good and came out fast. Beautiful location overlooking the falls.

We were there Saturday afternoon, around 3:00 pm. The food was good and the view was pretty. The restaurant overlooks the waterfalls.

The Falls Overlook Cafe is a modern cafe in a great location. If seated outside, you could just about feel the mist from the falls in Falls Park, located in Sioux Falls, SD. The one thing that I would say is, don’t go here if you’re hungry and looking for a family meal. This place is more for the light lunch in the realm of a wrap, salad, or sandwich. If you’re wanting an open faced hot beef sandwich, you won’t find it in this style of cafe. This is more of your coffee shop style cafe… only without the coffee shop. That’s another thing to note, as you won’t find a selection of coffee options here. However, what you will find, is a good ice cream selection. More on the novelty side, where you get the ribbons of chocolate or caramel and chunks of chocolate and nuts. Staff was friendly and place was clean. We were assuming we’d be able to get more options for food and having coffee available, so we were a bit bummed. But as long as you know what they have going into it, and you’re ok with the limited menu, you’ll likely find this place a decent little stop.
