Ate here alot growing up with my mom, remembered this place and decided to share it with the wife and make a trip to experience some great food and great people.
Was closed when I drove thru. I'm giving 5⭐ just for the artwork/ sculptures outside. Me and my kids stopped just to look at them and get some pictures.
If you're ever in the area this place is a great stop for filling food and that good southern hospitality. I personally always get the pasta but my coworkers always get the ribs and it has become somewhat of a Friday tradition. Don't expect super fancy dining but if you like that small town southern feel, this is a great stop for a good filling meal.
This is the best place to eat. Inside decor is amazing. Prices are unbelievable. 14oz New York stripe only 17$ thats a good deal! Best coleslaw I ever put in my mouth, so good we ordered more. From appetizers .. Sandwiches.. Hamburger to FISH, fried chicken, and pork chops to salads and more. I had ham and cheese sandwich (which was so full of ham I couldn't eat it all), and fried brussel sprouts (which I eat half of before taking a pic sorry) . This is my new go to when I want more like home cooking instead of fast food!!!
Place is absolutely amazing inside. Staff were super friendly. Prices were good. Food is good. Not much in the town but this is worth the stop.
Phenomenal atmosphere, great food, grilled cod was so flaky. Husband had nice serving of prime rib. Mixed drinks were reasonably priced.
If you're in search of a straightforward and no-frills buffet experience, this is the ideal spot. The offerings are simple yet satisfying, providing a basic buffet that caters to various tastes. The fried chicken and carrot cake were excellent. It's a go-to destination for those who appreciate a no-nonsense approach to buffet dining. From the rustic decor featuring weathered wood, vintage signage, and taxidermy to the twang of country tunes in the background, every detail creates an authentic and laid-back atmosphere. The staff's friendliness adds to the down-home feel, making it a great spot for those who appreciate a bit of Southern hospitality. While the setting may not be everyone's cup of tea, for those seeking a relaxed and unpretentious dining experience, this restaurant's redneck and country ambiance hits the right notes. Plus, it's a nice drive in the country to get there.
I had the best grilled salmon along with wild rice and slaw. Hubby had wings that were also very good. Service was excellent. The atmosphere is lots of fun for those who like history. We would eat here again if we come back this way.
