Great food and friendly service. You won't find typical bar food from a freezer truck here, it's vittles made with heart. Peg is a great cook and Sissy takes good care of the customer. We'll definitely be back.

This is an absolute gem! Come hungry and you'll be presented with a couple options, no worries if you're flexible, either will be fantastic. Prime rib on Saturday after 3pm'ish. Can't wait to try it.

We had the chicken strips, build your own burger, and fish - it was so good! We especially enjoyed the homemade honey mustard and the batter on the chicken was light and crispy!

Amazing food! Amazing people! Amazing service! Because they are just getting up and running after opening to the public in October, come knowing the menu is limited, but well worth it! Our choice today was hand breaded chicken strips or build your own burgers and both were absolutely amazing! Since their main focus is actually catering, we were allowed to sample some wonderful summer salad that they had made. And because of a little mishap of placing dinner roll dough in the refrigerator instead of the freezer we also got the most wonderful amazing deep fried donuts on the house. We were also given a taste of the chicken wild rice soup, and it was Heaven on a spoon! We were about an hour early for their Saturday night prime rib but I guarantee I will be back at some point in time to try that as well.

Kinda small, definitely came at dinner rush. Small but mighty soup, salad and potato bar. They have a build your own burger with 4 toppings with a large variety to pick from. The chicken and wild rice soup was some of the best I have had. All the potatoes were super yummy. Definitely will be coming back.

Peg's is a wonderful scenic highway treasure, local community bar and grill. A welcoming home away from home, gasthaus sort of place American style. It had real class, lace curtains in the windows, clean blond wood ceilings and walls and tasteful bragging rights decor. Sit at the bar with built in carpeted foot rest or restaurant seating in two rooms, cozy even. I had the buffet for a late lunch early dinner. It was heavy on the meat and potatoes side with breads, veggies and picnic salad selections. The ribs were tender as you can get them, falling off the bone, roast beef juicy and delicious. Fried chicken done right, crispy not soggy spiced just right. It was a feast I'm glad I stopped for and will stop again.

Current hours Wed, Thurs, Fri and Saturday 11am-7pm. Due to having been closed for several months and only being reopened for a couple weeks, the menu was limited. But what we had (pork chop/stuffing/salad bar lunch special and chicken strip dinner) was very good, all homemade/made from scratch. Service was very good as well. We were passing through, but would stop and eat there again if we get close.

Cash Only, fyi. Cute, quaint, place full of a lot of locals. We came in here on a Sunday around 11:00. We were greeted immediately by Peggy. She was amazing. The service was excellent, prices very reasonable, and the Bloody Mary was perfect! This place has a great vibe to it. Highly recommended. PS, if Peg's reads this, we shorted you on your tip because we didn't realize you were cash only. We will definitely make up for it next time we come back!
